A beautiful, large campground
Huge campground, check-in available in advance online, friendly staff, clean grounds, large campsites—many sunny, some but also some in the shade, beautiful pool area (very strict rules), restrooms clean and always with hot water, large supermarket with even a fresh meat section, very nice and wide sandy... beach—though it was always very windy for us starting at noon and usually had waves, restaurant — pool bar and self-service restaurant aren’t amazing but are okay, mini-golf, table tennis, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball court—all okay. Be sure to bring bikes—some distances are quite long. We (2 adults + a 14-year-old) enjoyed it—we’ll be back.

We have a parking spot in row F3. Great location, very quiet, just a short walk to the beach. The food at the grill bar is okay. The grounds are very clean and well-maintained.
Negatívumok
The washrooms are sometimes only moderately clean. Everything around the pool is strictly monitored, and any infractions are immediately called out. As soon as it gets dark, you’re almost run over by unlit e-scooters and bicycles. Once darkness falls, the monitoring stops as well. We do not recommend eating at the pool bar.
Good overall condition
The campground is beautifully laid out and the grounds are very clean, but in terms of value for the money, I've stayed at better places. Without a bike or scooter, some of the distances can be quite long.

It has a lot to offer, except for fresh fish, and a large selection of fruits and vegetables!

Most of the spots have no shade. The food selection is a disaster!!! There’s absolutely nothing to eat at the beach bar! Despite the ban on e-scooters, kids are riding them all over the place here! The Wi-Fi and cell service are terrible (they only work at night when everyone’s asleep)! The pool is supposed to be run-down and have all kinds of restrictions— our kids only went there once!
5 stars???
See above—it says it all!
We expected more!
One of those places I won't be going back to a second time...

Great summer vacation for young and old
We stayed here for 13 nights just before the start of the main season. The pitch was still relatively empty and therefore pleasantly quiet.
The pitches (area J pitch 870) were very spacious and we were able to spread out without any problems.
The shower houses were great and also fantastically designed... for small children, so that our daughter also had fun showering with the turtle towards the end.
The grill bar opened at the end of June and offered good food at moderate prices. We also occasionally bought something to nibble on in the take-away area, which was also good.
The supermarket in the campsite actually offers everything you need so that you never have to leave the campsite, the prices were higher but still within a good range.
The beach area is also great. Large with lots of direct access from the campsite and relatively separate, so that there are hardly any beach visitors other than those from the campsite.
The pool area is great for children with a toddler paradise and larger slides.

All in all, we will probably come here more often.

Relaxing vacation on a large campsite
We had initially booked a pitch in area M. However, it was no problem to book in area I in the following weeks.
Overall, a beautifully located campsite with a variety of offers for all ages.
Kids got their money's worth because of the evening program.
Value for money in the restaurant/supermarket and... takeaway was perfectly fine and not overpriced.
The beach was busy due to the large number of guests, but it was easy to get to the water. The people spread out well.
Parties were rare in our area. It was quiet at night. It was quiet for a long time in the morning.
All in all, a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation.
I would gladly stay again.
However, I would perhaps go a few rows further forward. Carrying all the equipment to the beach can be a pain.
The staff are very friendly and you could always see someone mopping up in the wet rooms. Excellent!!!!

Light and shadow
We were in area M. This is far from the beach, but quieter than the pitches near the beach. Friends of ours were there. Very loud every evening, well into the night. Nobody checked. About 80% of the guests were Dutch. They are very fond of partying and drinking. The place is very big. You need a mobile... vehicle. The cleaning staff can't keep up with the crowds. This is also due to the behavior of the guests. The beach is very good. Shallow entrance, wide and long. The restaurants on the campsite are not so good. There is only fast food. We liked the Marlin Beach Bar. It's a 10-minute walk from the beach. There was good food and very good cocktails. Even my 12 year old daughter didn't want to go to the pool. Every 3 meters a supervisor whistled or gesticulated at every little thing. Nobody knew who was meant. It felt like a competition. Even adults have to wait for the supervisor to give a slide command. It was ridiculous. You have to pay the final bill in cash (1500 €). A joke in this day and age. If you like it big and loud, this is the place for you. Those looking for relaxation should choose smaller places.

Windsurfers who don't respect the boundaries. We didn't really like the restaurant. E-scooters whizzing across the square in the dark.

We were there despite all our skepticism, and what can I say, it was extremely empty. The service was just great. Beach and pool very well maintained like the whole complex. We liked the entertainment and evening entertainment. The supermarket is well stocked and the prices are completely ok. Eating... and drinking at the evening events is also perfectly acceptable.

It was our first time there and we were very impressed.
Despite its size, it was very quiet at night.

Perfectly organized
After my parents regularly took us here on vacation 30 years ago, we now tried it out ourselves with our own family. And we were not disappointed. The campsite is perfectly organized and you can really feel the 50 years of experience. The Wi-Fi router we had booked in advance was already waiting for... us on arrival. We've never had a better network on a campsite before. The price of €25 for the whole family was also very reasonable. The Comfort pitch (area L) was great, but too far away from the sea. A-E is more recommendable. Despite the size and mass of pitches and people, we never had to wait for anything - in high season. We were also able to find free sun loungers in the swimming pool at any time. The site (August) is firmly in Dutch hands, with around 80% of the guests. However, there are also some German families there, so our children were able to make friends relatively quickly. We had a great time, but probably won't be back. It was all a bit too crowded for us, too big. Too many rules, too many whistles in the swimming pool. But if you don't mind the crowds on the beach, you're sure to have a great beach vacation!

A great place
We were really impressed. Great facilities, super friendly staff, great entertainment for young and old, mega evening program. The store on site is huge and the prices are so fair that you don't have to go out shopping. Overall a great price-performance ratio. The sanitary facilities were cleaned several... times a day. The beach is clean and beautiful. You couldn't wish for friendlier staff anywhere on the campsite. We have absolutely nothing to complain about and will definitely be back.

Back to the past
The last time I was at this campsite was in 1994 with my parents. Now I wanted to go there once with my own family and hoped that my childhood memories would not disappoint me. And to cut a long story short, we will be going back next year. A big compliment to the lovely cleaning ladies. You really did a great job. Many thanks also to the really nice staff in general, we felt very comfortable.

Ideal place
This was our second time on the site and we were definitely not disappointed. Starting with the initial contact via email before the reservation, reception, pitch allocation, structure of the pitch/the entire facility, friendliness of the staff, cleanliness in the sanitary buildings, services, entertainment... and last but not least the supermarket. There really wasn't a single point for us that could have been criticized in any way, if something didn't meet the high standard that this campsite definitely has, they reacted immediately. In particular, I think the customer focus is simply brilliant in all areas. We can definitely recommend the campsite without a guilty conscience.

The best campsite for us. As they say... "do your thing" with it!
It's a big place, but very quiet after midnight. Clean sanitary facilities (cleaned several times a day), also easy to reach for people with disabilities, friendly reception, good supermarket on site (not more expensive than outside), nice pool with slides for everyone, ....

Few shaded plots if not reserved in advance. Take a little more care of the local language in the activities for the little ones.
Splendid family vacations
We have been going there regularly since 79 (when our eldest son was born). It is a magnificent campsite, both in facilities and care, cleanliness and tranquility. Close to the beach and in a privileged environment of the Costa Brava, between La Escala and Sant Pere Pescados, next to Sant Martí D'Empuries... and next to the Greek ruins. Said, in addition, with knowledge of cause, since we have been camping in Europe for more than 40 years. Undoubtedly one of the best. If we can, we always like to spend a few days, before or after our trip.

A 10 star campsite
We have been going to this campsite for years, first with groups of friends, then with couples and now with children! It adapts to all audiences, has a 10 facilities! A huge pool with water park, always super clean washes, activities for children, disco for young people, and the best if you are looking for tranquility also offers it!!! I recommend it 100%

Many small defects, very unfriendly lifeguards
We stayed at Las Dunas for two weeks in August 2018. We will probably not visit this place again, here are my reasons in short bullet points: - Very large, the pool is simply too small for the high season, water quality was borderline at times, children under 120cm are not allowed to use the slides and... there are excessive rules in the swimming area, evening program was partly in need of improvement and again too small for the number of people, the jellyfish spoiled swimming in the sea. On the other hand, the area is fantastically beautiful and there really is a lot to discover. However, the biggest problem was the guests. The toilets were sometimes full to the brim****kt, although the cleaning staff always made an effort.

The campsite is not recommended - too bad
Rip-off at ATMs, jellyfish and rays in the sea, swimming pool far too small, annoying lifeguards, unfriendly and unprofessional staff at the pool bar (complaints not possible), no adequate entertainment, boring evening program, completely overpriced campsite, long distances, long waiting times, Doctor... far too small for the size of the site, cleaning staff only make a mess, not enough trees, reserved pitch not received (reserved a year before), no new investments, W-Lan for a fee, hardly any shade, complaints not taken seriously, no soap in the toilets, not refilled even after request, showers dirty - old and partly broken, water only splashes briefly and dripping, staff at the beach bar unmotivated, tennis courts outdated and unkempt, disco entry costs €20 per person - far too expensive for the size and price of the pitch, not every pitch has water, garbage collection comes daily at 8 am (very annoying and loud), no observance of quiet times - young people roam the streets at night, washing-up sinks are only sprayed with a garden hose - are totally filthy and are located right next to the chemical toilet disposal station,

Lots of mosquitoes at times in 2016....in our case one in just under 3 weeks. This was not the case in 2018.
Family-friendly and in a great location
Very nice place with pitches surrounded by palm trees. We were there in 2016 and 2018. New in 2018 was the Fase Wind Surf School - great trainers and nice team. Nice Laladu Club (children's entertainment) and great beach with clear sea water. Very nice bathing area / pool landscape with super slides.... Many, very attentive lifeguards at the pools and also on the beach. Very good supermarket and a nice restaurant (sea bream fresh from the market). We would love to come back.
