The pricing does not correspond to the level of service offered. Showers and WiFi cost extra despite the high price. Paths not illuminated. Sanitary facilities and playground are getting on in years. Many things no longer up to date. Disposal station for chemical toilets super cramped, no paper towels or similar. No hot water in the men's toilets or at the disposal station. (hand wash basin)
Okay for a short stay - not comprehensibly well rated for us
We stayed at the Carpe Diem campsite for two days. Overall, the stay was basically okay, but we can't really understand the many good reviews after our stay.

We found the arrival and briefing very difficult to get used to. We were greeted by an underage boy, who seemed to us to be about 10 years old... at most, with the words: "Have you made a reservation?" My wife was then simply handed the documents. From our point of view, there was no proper briefing. We had to look for the pitch ourselves on the Internet, as we were not given a site plan on site. We were also not told where the sanitary facilities, waste disposal or other important facilities were located. In our opinion, it would have been appropriate for an adult to meet the guests on arrival and briefly ask if there were any questions.

For two adults and a small child, we paid €41 per night for a small pitch. Electricity was included at 5 kWh per day, which was charged at €4. At this price, we didn't think it was reasonable that the showers had to be paid for separately and even WiFi cost extra.

According to my wife, the ladies' sanitary facilities were clean, but unfortunately the men's were no longer in good condition in the evening. Overall, the sanitary facilities are clearly getting on in years and, in our opinion, offer little comfort. The playground also looks outdated. Some of the play equipment gave us the impression that it was almost falling apart.

The food on site is frozen. The pizzas basically looked good, but extras or special requests could not be considered. The place itself is very dark in the evening, the paths are not illuminated at all. You can hear the adjacent country road, but it is not constantly busy, so it was still okay.

The pitch is simply no longer up to date.

5/5 stars - and rightly so!
We stayed at this beautiful and exceptionally well-kept campsite right on the Nagold from Friday to Sunday - and were absolutely thrilled!
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted in an incredibly friendly, warm and peaceful manner. We felt welcome and comfortable from the very first moment. The whole... weekend was simply relaxing, restful and full of wonderful impressions.
Electricity and water are available directly at each pitch. The sanitary facilities and the scullery are very clean and well maintained.
The pitches are generously laid out and most of them are beautifully planted with hedges and trees. This gives you privacy and pleasant shade at the same time. There are different pitch sizes, but all are very spacious. Our pitch was so big that two motorhomes up to 7 meters could have easily fitted on it and everyone would have had enough space.
We rarely heard the little train that passes above us on the hillside and barely saw it between the trees on the slope. The road was also almost inaudible. There was absolute silence at night.
The morning was particularly nice for me: sitting comfortably in front of the camper, enjoying my coffee and listening to birdsong and nature - pure relaxation! This is exactly how you imagine relaxation.
The location of the campsite is perfect for nature lovers, cyclists and hikers. A beautiful cycle path runs right next to the site and the surrounding area offers an incredible number of opportunities for excursions. The picturesque town of Wildberg with its narrow streets and historic castle ruins is only about 2.5 km away and well worth a visit.
Families will also get their money's worth here. The site offers everything you need and much more.

For us, this stay was a complete success and we enjoyed every minute of it. We will definitely be back.

Very nice location. Cycle path goes right past the campsite. Older but very clean sanitary facilities. Spacious pitches separated by hedges. Water, waste water and electricity on the pitch. Constantly being renovated and improved. Very nice and helpful operator.

We did not experience any disadvantages. But it must be said that there are roads and railroad tracks...... You have to get to the campsite somehow! We didn't notice either of them at any time.
Beautifully situated original place
We discovered a great original campsite and felt very comfortable. If you like the idea of camping, being simple and in nature, you won't be disappointed.
Those who like luxury camping with a rental bathroom, satellite TV and similar bells and whistles will not be happy.
An honest, clean site with an operator who is renovating and improving bit by bit. What more do you need?
We will certainly be back.

Camping with flair. Spacious approx. 100 pitches (+ fixed campers) with direct electricity connection and fresh water connection with key available at reception (5 EUR deposit). Typically also naturally shaded or open. Reception, which is also a bistro, coffee bar and snack bar in one. The selection of products is manageable, but nobody has to starve. There is also a bread roll service, which the manager bakes himself and is of a decent quality. The pizza and tarte flambée were also good. Very nice operator couple and staff who do everything themselves from A-Z. Pool medium sized 1.35-1.75cm deep, but although older, there was nothing to complain about. The sanitary facilities are clearly getting on in years and are sometimes more or less clean depending on who is using them. The operators are very, very keen to keep everything clean, but unfortunately you can't say that about some of the users. The ladies' wash/shower area is as good as new, really great. The operators are gradually renovating so that further improvements can be expected. Typical European clientele. A relatively large number of NL with many children, plus Belgians, Italians, Spaniards, English, Austrians and Germans. Child-friendly and dogs are also welcome. All in all, the campsite still has room for improvement. For stays of several weeks, however, not our cup of tea. If you are staying longer, you should stock up on the essentials in the villages beforehand!

We didn't really like anything. For people who don't like lively, child-rich NL or swimming mats in the pool, that may be the case. Depending on the time of day, even the keen lane swimmer can do their laps. The fact that dog owners occasionally let their dogs pee on the bushes and lanterns on other pitches is to be blamed on them. We did not feel disturbed by the nearby country road. Night's rest was never observed, but was not disturbing. Otherwise, it was very quiet in our area at night, despite through traffic (gravel paths) and somewhat fast cyclists (5km/h zone) Even the proverbial spit roast was bearable.
Camping with flair in good weather
As I said, camping with flair and nothing really to complain about. Somewhat outdated, which offers potential for improvement and will probably be done gradually.

Once again we spent relaxing days here, the reception was always friendly and uncomplicated, whether with or without advance booking!
The meadow area, structured by hedges, and the pitches to feel good, the sanitary facilities always clean. We enjoyed the family atmosphere on the site in the middle of... nature.
The swimming pool is not only great for children on hot days!
We didn't notice the sometimes criticized traffic noise from the B463 on the other side of the river at all. And without this road, we would hardly have reached this place. Unless by bike:
The Nagoldtal cycle path leads right past the campsite, and there is always a spot free on the tent meadow - we've tried that too, recommendable !

Carpe Diem Campsite
Beautifully situated campsite with large pitches. Each pitch is separated by higher hedges and thus provides privacy. The operator is very friendly and welcoming, and the showers and toilets are very clean. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely be back next year.

Our first stay
Our first night and we are thrilled. The warmth and friendliness of the operator and the (cleaning) fairy who was there on those days is great, and the sanitary facilities are very clean, new and well maintained. There were only a few people there on the two days and the restaurant and pool were not... (yet) in operation. We felt comfortable and will gladly return. We really liked the location between the forest and the river. The birds, the ducks, the bees - we enjoyed nature and relaxed. Thank you for the lovely, albeit short, stay.

Beautiful family place
We stayed here for a good week in August. A cozy campsite with simple but lovingly maintained facilities. The ladies' sanitary facilities have been redone and everything is clean.
The kids could play everywhere, the owner is very keen to let children be children. That's how we like it.
You can think (and comment) what you want about the road. You can't get anywhere without the road and it's definitely quiet at night.

The 1 km long access road is quite narrow and has hardly any passing places. But this road is not a through road, only access to the campsite.
New operator since 1/22, recommendable
Very idyllic site with large pitches. The size of the pitches does not differentiate between ACSI Card holders or not.
You can hear the road during the day, but it's very quiet at night.
The sanitary facilities are simple but very clean.
The operator is absolutely friendly and always ready to help.
Less than half an hour's walk to the town.

Overnight stays only on good luck!
Rejected at the campsite despite booking!
An impertinence! A family friend and we arrived for an overnight stay in the shepherd's caravan only to be turned away on the spot!

We were refused entry despite having a confirmed reservation, we were aggressively and disrespectfully snapped at and simply left standing there!

Presumably the shepherd's... wagons (we only booked one overnight stay) were booked elsewhere for two nights without sending us a cancellation. This probably played more into the hands of the Dutch operators!

Outrageous and absolutely not to be recommended! 0/5 stars!

Small, cozy place
We liked it. The operators were friendly, kind and helpful - always on duty from before 8am until after 8pm. Bread rolls ordered the day before and delivery service to the awning - that's as good as it gets. Restaurant with terrace on the campsite - limited choice of food, but okay. Pitches very spacious... and well paved (no mud even in heavy rain). Pool also looked good, but was (still closed). The site itself is in a small valley - of course you can hear the motorbikes, cars and occasionally a train on the other side. It didn't bother us.

We stayed at the campsite for just one night at the beginning of September, but were given a very warm welcome when we arrived. The pitches are very nicely laid out, the size varies between huge and rather small. The main road is busy with motorcyclists at the weekend, so the noise of the engines can... be heard from time to time, but it dies down in the evening. The sanitary building is older, but clean and the showers are unfortunately unsuitable for children without temperature control and the option to turn them off. However, this campsite is highly recommended as a starting point for excursions by bike. It is worth mentioning the access road, on which it is better not to meet anyone, as it is long and there is no alternative route.

Quietly located campsite
We (2 adults, 1 dog) stayed at this campsite for 1 week in July 2019. On arrival, the arrival time was from 14.00, departure until (officially) 10.00, extended until 11.00 on request. There is only a narrow access road to the campsite, with two oncoming caravans it is likely to be tight in places because... there are no alternative options. The site itself is very clean and quiet, the restaurant belonging to the site offers a sufficient selection of tasty dishes at a reasonable price-performance ratio. We were greeted very nicely on arrival and everything was explained to us in detail. We were always greeted in a very friendly manner during the rest of our stay. The site is ideal for guests with dogs, as you can go for an excellent walk along the Nagold for many kilometers in a beautiful landscape as soon as you leave the site. The pool and the entire site are super clean and the sanitary building with adjoining wash house with washing machine and dryer is cleaned several times a day. Unfortunately, the condition of the sanitary building cannot be described positively. It is already very outdated, you can see the signs of decay everywhere. The showers (4 minutes of hot water for €0.50) are also outdated and, at least for women with long hair, very short, especially as the water is only cold for the first 30 seconds or so and then slowly heats up (I don't like cold showers). There is also no way to set the temperature, just put money in, water comes out of an antiquated shower head and that's it. There should be urgent investment here to provide a modern standard that is common on other campsites. You should also try to get a pitch in a parcel when booking, unfortunately we didn't know this and got a pitch right on the path, although there would have been enough pitches available. This was a little annoying for us, as of course guests walked past our awning at any time of day or night in the direction of the sanitary building, which was difficult, at least with our somewhat nervous dog. But that's just our personal opinion, a relaxed dog would probably have no problem here. There are numerous shopping facilities in Wildberg and the site is also ideal for excursions in the Black Forest. The playground and pool are also very nicely laid out and we could see that the children had a lot of fun here. We have given 4 stars, as there is no other way, but we tend more towards 3.5.

Wunder Beautiful CP
We were from 1 May to 5 May 2019 on the beautiful CP, the campsite operator is very nice and helpful. The CP is very well maintained and is located directly on the Nagold. Ideal to start excursions by bike or hiking tours. We felt very comfortable here.

Unfortunately totally unfriendly (to non-Dutch people) and far too loud for relaxation
Unfortunately, if you are not Dutch, you will not receive a friendly welcome in this square. Germans and visitors of other nationalities are treated rudely. That's really not on! Unfortunately, the square is not a place to relax either, as a main road runs parallel to it, on which cars and motorcyclists really accelerate. Even the idyllic location doesn't help. We definitely can't recommend this place!

We are the new owners since 2022 and have made it our goal to treat EVERY guest in a friendly manner, regardless of where they come from, how they speak and what they think. Nice place, but
too loud, as the campsite is almost directly on the main road. From 05:50 in the morning, the motorcyclists chase each other here. There is no kiosk, but you can pre-order bread rolls for the next day. The site makes a very well-kept impression, from the carefully trimmed hedges to the lawn, everything... is tip-top. The sanitary building looks quite old from the outside, but is spotlessly clean. Unfortunately, you can't interrupt the showers after inserting 50 cents. The shower time is completely sufficient and the showers are also newly tiled. If there is any money left over, an adequate building could be put up here. The groundsman/owner has a good eye for his pitch, but is too short for me. Always running from a to b and unfortunately has no time for a quick chat. Otherwise very nice. The pool is also clean and nice and refreshing. There is also a table tennis table and a small playground. The access road to the campsite is quite narrow. A car came towards me and had to reverse a few hundred meters. If two caravans meet, then good night. As we hardly slept or only slept for a short time, we probably won't be back.
