Friendly, helpful host family - you feel welcome. Spacious pitches and plenty of supply points for water and electricity. Small store on the campsite for rolls, bread and basic supplies.
The location is great: you can be at Schwerin Castle in half an hour via cycle... paths (!). Many activities and excursions are possible here. The good network of cycle paths takes you as far as Wismar (and back by train...).
When the additional buildings are completed, the CP will be even better developed - shorter walking distances.
Here the permanent campers are well mixed with the tourist pitches - creates a cozy atmosphere.

Very friendly welcome. We usually come spontaneously without a reservation.
Freshly mown meadow awaited us and the dog meadow was beautifully prepared.
Free choice of pitch on the large tent meadow.
Electricity... box available, bring your own power cable plus CEE plug.
Wash house right next door.
Many thanks at this point to the "cleaning pearls" who ensure cleanliness.
We always go on day trips and enjoy the peace and quiet when we come back.
The grounds are well-kept and you really feel at home.

We have been here at the campsite for a week. We are very satisfied, we have a very nice and large pitch, it is a standard pitch, it is very central not far from the water, toilets and store. The store has everything you need.
The sanitary facilities are very clean.
There is a hall... where you can play table tennis.
The restaurant on the site is also very good and when the weather is nice there is also a small food truck with great prices.
It's very easy to cycle to Schwerin, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes.

For a 5 star pitch I would expect water and waste water on the pitch for premium pitches. WLAN would also be an advantage in this day and age. The site is clean and right on the lake.
Yes, it is being built on, but that didn't bother us in any way.

The sanitary facilities are getting on in years and it smells a lot like a sewer. A new building was announced for 2024, but has obviously been lying fallow for a long time. Electricity is very far away from the pitch and water/waste water is not even available on the premium pitches. Otherwise everything is very central.
Had a lot of fun, the lake and the surrounding... meadows and forests very beautiful. It's a shame that you're not allowed to cycle anywhere along the lake. Small kiosk with regional things and bread rolls. Bread rolls very small in my opinion but the service great.
What cost a star was that you have to wash up outside and the streets have a lot of potholes.

We received friendly and mostly competent help at the reception (it is not always possible to have long-serving trained staff there, the on-call times are too long for that - so everything is fine). The store... is well equipped, the bread rolls are delicious. Sanitary facilities clean and uncomplicated (no coins etc.)
The bicycle entrance is not in order, so please make it less accident-prone!
Summary: We would love to come backAutomatikusan lefordítva. - Sindy R.szeptember 2024Unfortunately very disappointing!"Premium pitch" anything but premium, electricity available at the pitch, but no water/waste water as with other pitches in the pitch category. Paths extremely potholed and uneven, a horror for cars with caravans in the back. Pitches are also more like a "parking lot", unfortunately not really nice.... 1 sanitary building (2 available on the pitch) very outdated, the new construction of another should already be completed for the 2024 season, but is still completely under construction. Toilet disposal also a horror, washing up only possible outdoors & then you have to leave a €5 deposit for a plug at reception. If possible, you shouldn't pay for bread rolls by card in the morning, at a time when almost everything is now cashless.
Some of the bread rolls were not fully baked, but the selection was ok.
Playground was very nice & also the lake, but at the time of our stay colonized with blue-green algae (but we were NOT informed at the reception on arrival), there was a notice at the wash house, which was not even taken for full... We both really liked the quiet camping park and the direct location on Lake Schwerin.
There was a lot of nature to experience around the lake by bike. The old town of Schwerin was also twice a day trip for us by bike along a very natural cycle path.
