Dogs aren't allowed, but the cat belonging to a permanent camper roams freely!
Not suitable for dogs
This spot is absolutely unsuitable for dogs. The swimming area is so small that only one dog can get in the water at a time. If you’re unlucky, this spot will be taken by a family with small children, and they won’t leave on their own. If the spot is free, you have to be careful that your dog doesn’t... step with a paw on a permanent camper’s lawn or even pee there after swimming—a permanent camper will come right over on a scooter and let you know exactly what’s what. There’s absolutely nothing here for your dog—not even a tiny patch of grass where he could do his business. Every morning, dogs are dragged out of the campground—sorry, that’s just how it is—to make sure no accidents happen, and if they do, you have to quickly grab a poop bag and hope no one saw you. Walking the dog is only allowed outside on the street—no green space! There’s a ton of traffic from campers coming and going. This review is strictly for campers with dogs—just *! For everyone else, it’s a great spot. Please keep that in mind!!!

A small, cozy campground right on the lake. Clean restrooms, friendly staff. A great playground for the little ones. Great access to the lake in the summer! The store is small but nice, and there’s also a well-stocked Migrolino store within walking distance.
Negatívumok
In the evening, they serve frozen pizzas—it's a shame they aren't homemade. The sites only have Swiss plugs (Type 13); NO CEE camping plugs!
Cozy campground by the lake
We enjoyed our overnight stay here, and we'll definitely be back.

We were able to get a spot without a reservation. The quality is very high, even though they don't call themselves a five-star hotel. Every tent has an electrical outlet.

You have to park your car in a parking lot, but that's often the norm. And, of course, the Swiss weather is unpredictable.
Swiss Quality
One of the most beautiful places. The view is breathtaking. A night in Switzerland for 50 euros for four people is a bargain. After the hot, run-down Italy, this place was a real treat.

Camping Monte Generoso
I like the campground because it is on the lake, has a nice playground for the kids and the staff is nice and helpful. When I slept I didn't hear the highway and the freight trains anymore. I'll definitely come back again

Good location as a stopover, good, new and clean sanitary facilities, showers with hand showers. If the weather is better than we had, you can jump straight into the lake.
Negatívumok
Pitches softened by persistent rain. Lots of dogs, the only unpleasant thing was the man who let his fighting dog run free and told everyone that he was so nice... perhaps the campsite should keep a closer eye on this, but of course the responsibility lies with the owner.
Directly on the lake
Can be recommended! Too bad the beautiful landscape was drowned in fog and rain.

Very nice location on the lake
Very nicely located CP on Lake Lugano. The staff are very friendly and provide important information as soon as you check in. The pitches are slightly sloping towards the lake, but pose no problem when pitching. Unfortunately, the grass has been completely removed from some of the pitches, making it... a rather muddy affair when it rained heavily several times. Some gravel on these areas would be good. The cleanliness of the pitches is very good. In my opinion, the washing facilities are not at all good. A "washing trough" for women and men reminds me of conditions in the seventies of the last century. When I had a health problem, I was looked after very carefully. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved.

A simple site with a very good infrastructure. Sanitary facilities are simple but very clean. The staff are friendly and courteous. We will be back again. A place that has kept its feet on the ground even in the tourist stronghold of Ticino. Thank you!

Beautiful location directly on the lake, shopping facilities within walking distance and great hiking opportunities. The Ticino card, which allows you to use public transport free of charge throughout Ticino (dogs also free of charge), is commendable. Even Lugano can be reached in 15 minutes.

Unfortunately, we had a blue-green algae infestation in the lake during our stay, so we couldn't use it. But it's not the operator's fault ;-).
Fall vacation
Very friendly reception, the reservation via the Internet also worked well, was able to change places on site without any problems, as there was also a dog right next door that didn't get along. Thanks to the "TicinoCart" there is the possibility of unlimited travel by public transport, so that you can... also cover longer distances to good restaurants. From our point of view, this is an absolutely recommendable place, even if it is in the upper price segment.

Nice place, unfortunately quite noisy (train)
We were here for a stopover in 2018. We received a friendly welcome, the campsite is beautiful, level grass pitches. Unfortunately, the pitch allocated to us was still occupied, so we had to re-park. The lake is great and really idyllic. Unfortunately, we discovered at night that there is a railroad line right next to the site. This may not be a problem for people who are not sensitive to noise, but we were regularly woken up by the trains.

Nice place by the lake for an overnight stay
Directly on the lake, friendly staff, bread rolls for breakfast and pizza in the evening, sanitary facilities simple but ok. We had a good start to our vacation :).

Cozy, small place with very nice staff. The location is ideal for a stopover. Sanitary facilities somewhat older but clean, hot showers cost 50 centimes - but take 6 minutes, so completely ok. Prices in the store absolutely overpriced.

Not really quiet because of the highway - sanitary facilities as mentioned. The Palatz is actually expensive, and the 50 centimes for showering...well
Beautifully situated pitch with sanitary facilities from the post-war period
We come to this campsite almost twice a year when we are passing through. The staff are very nice and helpful. The nearby highway and the international train line do not really contribute to the peace and quiet, but it doesn't matter, because - well, we are just passing through. the nearby restaurant... at the train station is simply great, and almost worth a detour. . . . As mentioned, the sanitary facilities are not worthy of a TCS campsite (I think) and (although clean) are from the Stone Age.

Perfect as a transit point to the south
We stayed at this small campsite twice within a week on our way to and from Lake Garda. The reception was always courteous. The sanitary facilities were always very clean, but were getting on in years (the showers unfortunately cost extra). The location directly on the lake is very nice. The noise from... the highway and railroad line can be a little annoying for sensitive ears (not a problem for us). The store has a very good range of products, naturally at the high Swiss prices. Supply and disposal for the motorhome was also possible and worked very well. We would love to come back.

The site is beautifully situated. The sanitary facilities no longer meet today's standards. The cleanliness of the entire site should be emphasized. Ideal place for a 1 to 3 day stopover on the outward or return journey.
