Over the weekend
We went camping with our caravan for the first time over the weekend. The pitches are great for beginners. Pitches and sanitary facilities in very clean condition. The restaurant serves very good food.

The Via Claudia campsite in Lechbruck is an ideal vacation destination for campers with dogs. The pitches are large enough, the fenced-in dog area is large and varied, the sanitary facilities are clean and there are plenty of them, the reception team is very friendly and courteous ... Conclusion: we'll be back - we've already booked for next year👍

We stayed at this campsite for 14 days in Aug/Sep 2025.
The location and facilities are very good.

The site is great for families with children. Dog owners also feel well looked after.
However, if you are looking for REST and RECOVERY, this is the wrong place!!!
No midday rest possible, as new campers can also enter the site at noon to set up immediately.
We will not be back!

Great campsite with lots of leisure activities
Despite the high occupancy rate, the entire site was always clean and the sanitary facilities in particular - in our case the mountain view - were always well maintained. Some were cleaned several times a day.
The washing machine and dishwashing room were also always tiptop.

We particularly liked the... wide range of play facilities for children, even though we were traveling without children. We always had the feeling that the extensive range of activities for children of different ages was offered with complete conviction.

For us as travelers with 2 dogs, the place was of course ideal. The large dog play area with the stream alone, where dogs can really run around, is something you don't often find. The fact that there is an area by the lake where you can lie down with dogs also contributed greatly to our relaxation.

The fair prices in the restaurant and snack bar and also in the Via Claudia shop were also remarkable.

All in all, a lovely campsite. However, our pitch was sloping so that our awning was under water when it rained.
Furthermore, we had booked the lake view, unfortunately you could only see a little of it even when standing due to the hedge. (I am 1.60m tall).
The sanitary facilities were good, sometimes... a bit dirty, but with the crowds this is almost impossible to avoid. The staff were always very helpful and friendly.
The restaurant deserves special mention. The price-performance ratio was really great. The food was delicious and plentiful. The menu is clear, but really great.

We had a very nice stay (12 days).
The team at the Reze was always very friendly and helpful.
The sanitary facilities were always tip top clean.
In the store there are the things of daily needs also regional products such as eggs, cheese and what to grill.
Can recommend the place with its beautiful location on the lake and partial Betgblick unreservedly.

Almost perfect
The place is top, the sanitary facilities are 5 stars+. Only the plots should be precisely marked, there are no boundaries between the plots. The routing on the site is very unfavorable and you have to walk very long distances to get from the beach to the sanitary facilities, unless you just go straight through the plots of the other campers, which in my opinion should be avoided.

Great campsite
We had a wonderful stay here. The reception staff are all very friendly and helpful. The mini market offers a good selection of items that are often forgotten at home. There is also a good bread roll service, which can be pre-ordered from the machine or online and paid for straight away without any complications.... We tried it out and it worked perfectly. The restaurant offers good, down-to-earth dishes. It is advisable to reserve a table in the high season.
The sanitary buildings are spacious and are checked and cleaned several times a day, so that everything is always in order and you enjoy taking a shower.
For us, this is the perfect vacation spot and we would love to come back.

We felt very comfortable. Even the reception was friendly and everything we needed was explained to us. We were told that we could have a look at an alternative place. We gratefully took this one. The 7.50 m pitch was generous for our motorhome. It was beautiful and we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Lots of families with very young children. The disadvantage of course depends on your point of view and what you want from your vacation.

We had booked our pitch (725) on the assumption that it was not far from a sanitary building. Unfortunately, it was not recognizable on the site plan that the building belongs to the lower part of the CP, i.e. you always had to go up and down a hill.
Unfortunately, it was also quite noisy and restless... all day due to the large number of children in our immediate vicinity, some of whom were still very small. Our neighbor's mobile air conditioning unit hanging on the outside of the camper was also quite loud.
Too bad, because the place itself is otherwise beautiful and well-kept. The staff are friendly throughout.

Dream in the Allgäu
A top campsite that leaves nothing to be desired. The upper pitches were spacious and quiet, those who like more hustle and bustle are better off down below. The sanitary facilities were always spotlessly clean and 2 of the 3 buildings were very modern. The disabled sanitary facilities were well equipped... and could be opened with Eurokey, a perfect solution. The "lake" is cool but perfect for sup'n. The playgrounds are great, the snack bar has delicious food and ice cream. The dog run was the icing on the cake for our four-legged friend.
The location is perfect for excursions in the Allgäu. We had two small complaints: there was little to no WiFi and telephone reception and when it rained, our pitch was very muddy relatively quickly and hardly absorbed any water.
But the kids spent much more time in the playground and we spent the evenings playing cards.

It was a very nice vacation with you.
The sanitary facilities are really great and always very clean. The pitches are big enough but the maintenance of the pitches has room for improvement. It should not be the case that you have to put your awning carpet in mud and this was the case on several pitches.... The pitches should be checked before re-occupation and gravel should be added if necessary. Everything else was positive in this beautiful landscape.

As a tip, a change machine for the necessary change for the dishwasher / washing machine and dryer would be recommended. So you would not have to go to the reception for it.
What we found a pity that there were still large tents... between motorhomes and caravan pitches although there is an extra tent meadow. But all in all a very nice campsite, we will definitely be back.

Not 5-star. No modern sanitary facilities
Pitches are very poorly drained. Mud puddles form. Dirt everywhere in the wash houses due to the unpaved paths. Puddles form everywhere on the paths when it rains. I understand modern wash houses to be something different. For us, modern wash houses are brick-built toilets and showers. It's disgusting... when the neighbor's shower water runs into the shower cubicle. There was also no hot water twice in the evening. The shower cubicles are not big enough for so many pitches. There was often a queue in the evening. Walled toilets would be appropriate so that you can't hear what your neighbor is doing in the "quiet little place". These were our worst sanitary facilities in the 40 years we have been camping.

It's half a hike to get bread rolls without a bike.

We also didn't find the way of ordering bread rolls customer-friendly and therefore got our bread rolls in town.

You can expect far more from a 5-star place. We will not be back.

The campsite is very well maintained. The toilets were very clean. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We stood above the large wash house with the caravan. The pitches were very large. The path to the wash house was short and very well lit at night. Especially for the children. For public... holidays and Sundays, you should go shopping early at the supermarket nearby, as the small store on the campsite can't stock everything.
When we arrived, the site was under water. However, the campsite provides mats. Unfortunately, there were none available for us. As we only had sunshine from day 3 onwards, this problem was quickly solved.
The only thing we didn't like was the condition of the lake. There was a lot of algae in the lake. Especially on and in the immediate vicinity of the shore. Most holidaymakers first went out on the SUB and then swam there.

Nice vacation in the Allgäu, we would book again
We felt very comfortable. Rather standard, but the price/performance ratio was good. Wash houses were clean and sufficient. Location also good, many excursion possibilities in the beautiful Allgäu. Perhaps a renovation of the access road on the site would be appropriate, in the rain many puddles and little space for pedestrians and cyclists on the edge of the paths.

Cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired
Unfortunately, the sanitary building "Bergblick" was not so clean. When going to the toilet, you could choose between five dirty and one clean toilet. The fittings in the showers and at the washbasins are getting on in years and sometimes splashed in all directions and not on the body.
The cleaning intervals... are clearly too long for this size of campsite.
The chemical toilet cleaning area was also not clean.

The offer in the "small store" next to the reception is incredibly expensive and clearly too small.

The food in the beer garden was not worth the money. The taste and quality of the dishes were not good. That's why we only visited it once.

We liked it very much. Especially the great view of the lake and the mountains. But the sanitary buildings were also modern and always clean.
What I didn't like so much is that you have to pay for WiFi and it still works very badly. You can live with the poor quality free of charge, but you expect more... for the money.
And more indoor play facilities for children would be great if, as was the case with us, it rains for two weeks straight. And last but not least, one or two more dog stations or at least garbage cans.
All in all, a very nice campsite and we really enjoyed our stay despite the rain.

We hebben twee weken, ondanks de vele regen in de tweede week een heerlijke vakantie gehad. De camping is prachtig en mooi gelegen. We hebben veel natuur en cultuur kunnen zien. We konden goed fietsen met onze e-bike

Sehr schöner Campingplatz. Sauber und gepflegt . Auch das Essen bei euch war sehr lecker gewesen und die Bedingungen waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und die Mitarbeiter für die pflege der Anlage waren sehr freundlich und sauber.
Nur zwei Sachen sind vielleicht noch zu verbessern wenn es möglich... wäre.
1: einige Campingplatz Besucher sind in beriech duschen zu schnell mit ihren Fahrzeugen unterwegs gewesen bei spielenden Kindern.
2: von uns aus waren die duschen etwas zu weit entfernt.

Beautiful facility
Despite the constant rain, we found a clean, well-organized campsite with sufficiently large pitches. The sanitary facilities were super clean, very modern and adequate. The staff were very friendly, competent and helpful. There were lots of indoor and outdoor opportunities for children to play.
The food was great!

Very friendly, courteous place
The telephone as well as the personal reception and when questions were extremely friendly no matter which person no annoyed answers simply cordial! The space is well laid out and distributed. All in all very satisfied.
This applies to all employees whether at the reception, restaurant or snack bar always... courteous and friendly solution-oriented. It couldn't be better!

Line of small comments:
Due to the heavy rain that we had, the water always ran into our awning, so we were always standing in water/mud on our awning carpet. I have also seen this at other sites.
A little fine gravel to even out the unevenness and create a better surface would probably be a bit better.

In the men's showers, the length of the running water is very short, so please make it a little longer.

But all in all a very good place to relax. We will be back with hopefully better weather.

Despite the size, a clean, tidy pitch. The sanitary facilities were well maintained.
There is a small store for daily needs and a "beer garden". Bread rolls can be ordered!
A wide range of play facilities for children.
Location and view really great.
Checking in is straightforward, but you have to hold a barcode under a scanner when driving in and out. This is complicated because you can't easily reach the scanner through the vehicle window.

Very clean and relatively new sanitary facilities. The food in the snack bar and restaurant is good and the price is okay. The site is clean and well maintained.
What could perhaps be changed would be the fence at the dog areas. This could be made a little more stable and the showers could run a little longer when you press them.

bad place for tent campers
Unfortunately not suitable for a 5 star campsite as a tent camper. The Standard Plus pitch was too small for our tent. We had given the dimensions by phone before booking and chose the pitch on recommendation. The proximity to the lake was also important to us, as we wanted to use our stand-up paddles... and dinghy. Our tent ropes had to be on the neighboring pitch. The car was halfway along the path. The trailer had to be moved to a separate parking lot. Unfortunately, the table and chairs didn't fit in front of the tent so we could eat outside. Too bad, that's the camping feeling for us.
The pitches are partly grass and mostly gravel. Unfortunately, the areas are not well 'maintained' and have deep depressions. When it rains, the water flows from the paths onto the pitches and collects in the depressions. All the awnings were flooded and stood under water or mud. The campsite helped by laying plastic tread plates. If you wanted to cancel your trip, you had to give a week's notice and pay a €20 cancellation fee. There was a constant change of pitch neighbors. A maximum of 2 nights, then they would be gone again. If, like us, you had to wait for the tent to dry, you were out of luck. We didn't get a refund for the remaining nights because we didn't meet the one-week cancellation deadline.
So much for pitch no. 112.
The site is otherwise in a very beautiful location. Wonderful for cycling and hiking tours. Ideal for children and dogs.
Sanitary facilities are clean. We personally don't like the drainage channel in the showers and the fact that the water from the shower cubicle next door splashes into your own cubicle.
The store has a very clear range of products.
The food at the snack bar is OK.
Unfortunately, the quiet times after 22:00 are not observed and there was no 'groundsman' to check. Party-loving campers kept the other surrounding campers entertained with their bottles in the snack bar area until half past one. It's a shame that there is no peace and quiet here.
We would gladly return to the Allgäu, but not to this site. 5 stars are not justified here for the price/performance ratio. Too small and poor space conditions for tent campers.

Personally, we would give the place 4 stars.
The lighting on the panorama pitches should be improved.there are too many potholes on the entire campsite.there is no access to the lake for other visitors on the panorama pitches.disturbing when you have to walk between caravans and cars with the paddle board.we found this very disturbing on our pitch.most campers didn't even mind when we were having a barbecue or drinking coffee.

Camping vacation
We booked a night on the motorhome site. This site is located outside the actual campsite. Unfortunately, this was not communicated to us in the email, so we spent a lot of time trying to find the right place. (Check in is not at the main site at the machine).
Long distances to the showers and sinks!!!! No bread rolls available without pre-ordering! We will not book here again.

The sanitary facilities are very clean and spacious.
Negative was: that on our row, although expressly forbidden dogs were nevertheless present. A dog which was on the adjacent pitch did its business on the bathing lawn. This really bothered us, and it is not hygienic as children play on this bathing... area.
In the evening, dog owners walked on this bathing area, although a special dog area was expressly provided. These dogs also had to do their business.
It is a pity that not all guests abide by the rules, so we recommend better control.

We stayed here for 2 days and felt well looked after. From the very nice welcome to the clean and spacious sanitary facilities, everything was perfect.

The bread rolls from the bread roll service were very tasty. I can especially recommend the pepper roll :)

In the small store there was also a fridge... with products from the local butcher and cheese dairy.
This was also very tasty and highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the pre-booked comfort pitch was very small. If we had wanted to extend the awning on our motorhome, we would have been faced with a problem. This is also the reason why I can only give 4*.

Great pitch even with sanitary facilities, what more could you want, close to the water and a nice beer garden on the campsite. I can't understand the displeasure that some guests had because of the construction work at the weekend. Something just has to be done. We would love to come back.

A great place, a great campsite!
We had a pitch at the motorhome port and were here for the 3rd time. As always, we liked it very much and are happy to continue coming here. The check-in via the machine directly at the barrier is easy, so you can check in at any time without any problems. The direct location on the lake is also a dream.... I only rate the 200 panoramic pitches in front of the reception and the general facilities, the opening hours of the reception are very convenient, the sanitary facilities are clean, everything has been thought of, there are even drinks vending machines in case the store at the reception is closed. Places large unfortunately unkempt around the water points not mowed....WC is not ventilated in the morning very unpleasant.
Gastronomy.....we were told there are no reservations in the beer garden...then you get there....all reserved. QR at the tables does not work. Food order only drinks at the next... ladies you then learn that order take about 1 hour and what you want is out. Then you say disappointed well then just not. Then they want to sell you the drinks anyway.
I then said...well if I don't get anything to eat then I don't need anything to drink either. The simple solution is a board that says how long it will take and what is no longer available.
All in all, I would say a maximum of 3 series of space.

Beautifully situated place
Nice place, very large, very clean, unfortunately the behavior of some campers is very bad, for which the campsite can do nothing. Our neighbors had the air conditioning on full blast all day because electricity was included and then all the windows were completely open. I have no understanding for that.

Great place in a great location

We were amazed that all the green areas were still covered with tents etc. The "dog beach" does not deserve this description. It's even difficult for dogs to get into the water, let alone their owners. If they also have a handicap, no chance. Even the normal access to the lake is only feasible at the point for the SUP if you are restricted.

Was quite good but depending on the pitches far to the lake or to the repression on foot. Pitch was clean and well maintained. Sanitary was clean and well maintained. Nice dwarf bath perfect for our 6 year old son.

It was our first WoMo vacation and Via Claudia is great
We had a motorhome pitch with a panoramic view. It was big enough for a 6.75m motorhome and seating to the side with the awning extended.
It was a bit difficult to find the pitch overall. You practically drive around the whole site first. Intermediate signage could help.
Sanitary was all clean.
Unfortunately,... there is no waste disposal symbol for organic waste. Bread roll service means order and pick up. No delivery. You can go for a walk, but you should have a bike or Scoozer with you.

Feel good from the very first minute
Very nice welcome, clean sanitary facilities as good as new, fantastic location. Large site with lots on offer, but where the crowds of guests disperse wonderfully and you find more peace and quiet than you would expect.

Excellent place
Our stay at the campsite was great once again. We stayed for eleven days and everything went very smoothly. Despite the fact that the site was quite full, there were never any waiting times in the sanitary facilities and everything was still quiet on the site. The barrier-free sanitary facilities are excellent. Everything you need is there.

The first thing to mention are the super sanitary facilities, not only super clean but also more than sufficient even during cleaning time. PLACES are large enough. All in all, well maintained. The organization was also very good.
A few small things that could be improved.
I missed the disinfectant dispensers... in the toilets. Should be standard today. Access to the lake could be available in several places.
A boules court would also be great.

Motorhome parking space
We were at the motorhome port and had booked pitch number 43 online in advance.
Having just arrived, we were literally attacked by countless ants.
Of course, we immediately reported this to reception. Someone came and scattered white powder, but the effect was zero.
We told reception again, but this... time it was ignored.
We then left the site at short notice after 3 nights as it was not possible to sit in front of the motorhome.
Overall, we had the impression that the old motorhome pitch was the stepchild of the campsite. The beds were actually very unkempt and WLAN had no chance.
The new camper van site is very nice, but for 85 pitches only 3 toilets (female) and 2 toilets (male) is very little.
Showers could be used on the campsite, but you had to walk 500 mtr.
The campsite is nice overall.
It is also not a cheap Gustav if you have to pay € 6.00 for a dog on the pitch.

Camping in the Allgäu
The campsite is very well maintained, the sanitary facilities are clean and are cleaned regularly.
I booked my pitch online using a map. But when I arrived it was somewhere completely different. The map urgently needs to be revised.

Excellent campsite

Check-In with trailer rather inadequate
We had booked pitch L28. In the email "Information about your stay" you write: "Comfort pitches in the Lechblick area L1 - L40 please turn here (in front of reception) and drive back down the road." On arrival, I asked the staff member at check-in whether I really had to turn here with my caravan, to... which he answered "Yes" in a short answer. When I turned around with the trailer, I caused major damage to the bumper of my car, as the bike rack mounted on the drawbar came into contact with the bumper of my car due to the turning area being far too narrow. The turning area in front of the reception inside the campsite is MUCH TOO SMALL for turning with trailers. It would be a good idea to include a note in your email to park in the visitor parking lot on the right-hand side before check-in and to walk to check-in from there. When I arrived at my parking space, I was informed by an adjacent camper that the barrier had been opened for him to turn around, why not for me, although I had already expressed my concerns? Another guest told me that the same thing had happened to another camper just a few minutes ago. This information might make them think about revising the information in their email "Information about your stay" in relation to pitches L1 - L40.
Bathing area. In their flyer, a bathing area is marked on the lake at L1 - L40. Ultimately, there is only free access to the lake with a width of approx. 2 - 3 meters. The rest of the lake shore is always completely overgrown. So if you want to swim, you have to walk all the way through the campsite to the large sunbathing lawn after the reception, despite being right next to the lake.
The bread rolls we ordered were mixed up one day. Our ordered goods were accidentally given to another guest. 2 days earlier I witnessed the same mishap with another guest. The very young employee apologized both times for the mishap, but the mistake is always annoying for the individual guest.
Finally, on a positive note, I have never found a campsite where the sanitary facilities were always so clean!

Clean, beautifully situated - with a small drawback
We stayed at this campsite for two days and one night and really enjoyed our short break. The location is really fantastic - the view of the surrounding area is simply impressive and invites you to relax. Everything looks very neat and tidy, from the pitches to the communal areas.

One small downside:... the toilets were unfortunately not always clean. We would have liked a little more attention to cleaning, especially at peak times.

Otherwise, however, it's a really nice site with lots of potential - we'd love to come back when we get the chance!

We really enjoyed our stay.
Very clean and adequate sanitary facilities for the size of the pitch. Great location on the lake and the landscape is ideal for hiking and cycling tours. A big compliment also to all guests with dogs (including us😄): Although there were many dogs on the site, there was hardly... any barking and the legacies were always removed by the owners....so also seen from this side, very clean.
You can also get everything you need on the site.... Restaurant, snack bar, ice cream parlor, small shop.....everything there!
We'll be back...🙋
