The sanitary facilities are always clean and up to date. Even the little things are taken care of, such as a magnifying mirror in the ladies' washroom and a lowered washbasin for children. A wonderful place for nature... lovers to relax and unwind. Nideggen Castle is within sight and the direct proximity to the River Rur also gives you that "I want to stay here" feeling.
The campsite operators are very friendly and always have an open ear for questions or requests. They like to be in contact with their campers, which makes the stay a bit familiar.

I particularly liked this one because of the friendly operator, who showed and explained everything. The site is very diverse, close to nature and very well equipped. The sanitary facilities were the best I've ever seen... on a campsite. We went hiking and visited the castle and ate there as well as in the restaurant on the campsite. There were also great events and a barbecue area which we used. I was able to drive my car onto my pitch, pitch my tent next to it and had an electricity connection. Katja G.travanj 2025Dobre strane- Idyllic location in the valley. - Always clean sanitary facilities. - Not overcrowded even when fully booked. - Nice permanent campers - friendly staffNegativne strane- A train crosses the square every half hour and has to sound its horn 3 times - Only one playground, therefore long distances from the upper part of the site - Our pitch (538) had a great view, but was uneven - Pitch was difficult to reach - humpy lawn edge stones in front of it made it difficult to get a pitch - dynamic pricing meant a price for us that was quite high and for which we could find more suitable pitches elsewhere - No cycle paths suitable for small children in the area - Shower tokensIdyllic place with a very friendly team, but not for us.The place is certainly great if you go there without a child, the child is older or you can live with being down by the Rur and right next to the train near the only playground.
The upper part of the site is pretty much a cuddle camping area. It was too cramped for us, even though we had no direct neighbors... in front of us and were in a very idyllic spot.
With a small child and motorhome, we are reliant on well-developed cycle paths or cycle paths suitable for bike trailers. We didn't have that. To go shopping, you would have had to go up the hill on an e-bike, either directly on the road or through woods and meadows. Caravans and cars are better here. It's also a shame that the videos often shown on social media only show the lower part of the Rur.
It's certainly a beautiful place. But not for us. We wouldn't come back, but we didn't have a bad vacation there either.

The site is in very good condition, everything is clean and tidy. The toilets and showers were also always clean.
In the morning there are delicious bread rolls that you have to order in advance, we were happy to use this service and were very grateful for the offer.
The people in the region are very friendly and you can do a lot if you want to, you can also just enjoy the castle, the view and the nature.
