We spent a week at the campsite with 5 grandchildren for the fourth time. The kids especially enjoyed the newly designed playground at the entrance area. There is so much on offer that we didn't get bored for a moment and even the 14-year-old was completely satisfied.
The big rain shower on 16.07. led... to a temporary flooding of the playground, but it was great fun for the children. We were surprised at how quickly the water drained away. The drainage worked really well.

Quite ok for four, rather too small for six. But it's very clean and furnished in a functional way. Luckily we had our own pillows with us, otherwise we would have had to sleep sitting up as the pillows are far too thick, but the beds are ok overall.
The... activities on offer for children (both eight years old) were not what we expected, it was really poor. No really interesting playgrounds in the long term. The children were quite disappointed by the 2nd day at the latest. The mini golf course is unfortunately also very neglected and not very inviting. The separate swimming area is also very boring and not particularly nice.
And having to pay so much money for the bouncy castle on the water made us decide to go to the nearby swimming pools. That was a very good idea, because they are great and also incredibly cheap.👍🏽 The maze nearby with its adjacent playground is also worth a trip!
The food at the leisure park at Alfsee isn't exactly the best, but as we had most of our food with us, it wasn't too much of a problem. The poor opening hours are probably due to the lack of staff.🤷🏽♀️ The internet states that bicycles, e-scooters etc. are prohibited. This should be corrected, because many children and half-strong boys will run you over if you don't jump to the side in time, even at crosswalks. Our conclusion is that you can definitely go to the amusement park at Alfsee as a day visitor, but not for a whole week. Basically, everything at Alfsee revolves around the very large water ski facility, which is probably where most of the money can be made with relatively little financial outlay. Our conclusion: For just under 1300 euros a week, there is far too little on offer. The water sports facility, where you can go water skiing, wakeboarding or monoskiing, is very popular.
The beach is clean and even has an aqua park.
You can go go-karting nearby and in bad weather you can take the kids to the bullermeck indoor playground.
There are numerous... playgrounds and children's entertainment with Alfi the clown. There is an Italian restaurant and various snack bars along the lake.
The sanitary facilities deserve special praise: clean and luxurious for a campsite. Dishes can also be washed in the dishwasher and laundry can be washed and dried if required.
Security is also on patrol and ensures that the quiet times are observed and always remains friendly.
The site is cleared and cleaned several times a day by the staff and any work that needs to be done is done quickly.
If you need bread rolls in the morning, you can get them at the Freese market or simply book a breakfast buffet at the Feingeist restaurant. The buffet leaves nothing to be desired and the staff are very friendly.
All in all, a fantastic vacation.

But old doesn't mean old...the building is very modern, super clean and adequately sized. There are even free dishwashers with a quick wash program (5 minutes). WLAN is rather weak (for the price), supermarket... completely overpriced. Walking distance to the Alfsee with great water ski facilities. Around the lake many stalls with soft ice cream, kebab, chips, burgers etc.
You can quickly reach Alfhausen by bike where there is a Netto supermarket for shopping. Unfortunately, despite having plenty of space, we were placed right next to another camper (cuddle camping). Water and electricity directly at the site.
