Very nice staff
We were "stranded" here by necessity after our car broke down. The staff were very nice and extremely helpful to us! All the staff spoke very good English, one employee is German and helped us a lot with translation services and even driving services!

This very large International campsite vies with many others on the Côte Fleurie for the favor of guests. That's why it advertises from afar with 4 stars and it is assumed that more than one language (French) is spoken at an international campsite. (no German and no English either). Located on the road... linking Houlgate and Villers-sur-mer (narrow roads, tight bends!), the site is terraced and partly parceled out. The site looks very pleasant from a distance, but only from a distance and only in the dark, as we only drove onto the site late in the evening. The next morning in daylight, we walked around the campsite, showers and toilets are really difficult to reach from some places and are also very unkempt. "Filthy" the toilets were smeared with bunkers, the showers were so disgusting that you would prefer not to shower at all in view of the many fat spiders on the ceilings, and the hot water was only lukewarm. The campsite has a reasonable swimming pool and a store. The campsite even has its own access to the beach, but this is life-threatening as the bridge to the beach has collapsed and no barriers have been installed. What we also noticed straight away was the unfriendliness of the campsite staff. In view of these shortcomings, we immediately decided to continue our journey. The billing was really strange: according to the price list for one night and 3 people with a dog, we were charged a total price of €24.80, but at the checkout they tried to charge us €94.00 for the night, only when we threatened the cashier with the police and a lawyer did he suddenly come up with a bill of €24.80, strangely enough. We were also only given an invoice after repeated and insistent requests.
