It would be a wonderful addition to have a place for the children to cool off in the afternoon, since the swimming pond isnât accessible to children due to its location in the sauna garden (naturist area). The shower stalls are very spacious but can get quite warm and stuffy in some cases because thereâs no air gap; this is certainly more pleasant in the winter, but better ventilation would definitely be welcome there as well. Check-out before 7 a.m. isnât possible because the electricity meter still needs to be read. It would be great if there were a way to unplug and, if necessary, pay for electricity via a âcoin-operated machineâ for one night, so that guests could leave even earlierâespecially during the summer monthsâand avoid heavy traffic.Nice little place (family with 2 children)A very nice little campground for an active vacation in the mountains. Our kids had a blast at the campground, too, since its small size makes it ideal for getting to know the neighborhood kids. We had a perfect campsiteâalbeit on a slight slopeâright on the edge of the grounds with a direct view of... vast meadows, forests, and mountains (TC6). Itâs simply beautiful! The washhouse is also spacious and modern, featuring comfortably large showers with sinks. The restaurant serves delicious food, and everyoneâboth in the restaurant and at the front deskâis incredibly friendly. When issues arose (a âfloodâ in the womenâs restroom), they responded immediately, so the Franzlhof offers great service overall. Weâd love it if the swimming pond were eventually made accessible to children as well. Unfortunately, we couldnât find that information on the website, and we were briefly disappointed, since a quick dip in the afternoon is the perfect way to cool off after spending the whole day on the mountain. Check-out is possible starting at 7:00 a.m., as quiet hours are in effect at our campground from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. If youâd like to leave earlier, you can pay the day before and park in one of our emergency spots on the lawn. From there, you can leave at any time.

We also really enjoyed the restaurant. The mini-golf course and the playground were also a big plus and made our stay even more enjoyable.
We do have a few small suggestions for improvement, though: Since there were so many families with children at the campground, the site could be made a bit more family-friendly overall. A play area right on the campground would be nice, since you currently have to walk around the outside of the hotel to reach the playground. In addition, restroom facilities specifically for children would be a great additionâeven though the existing restrooms were very modern and always clean.
The dishwashing area could also use some modernization, and a new dishwasher would certainly be a huge help for many guests.
Despite these minor points, we really enjoyed our stay immensely. The restaurant, the... option to order fresh rolls for breakfast, the mini-golf course, the sauna, the large playgroundâeverything is there; it doesnât get any better than this.
One minor drawback is the trash disposal. The trash collection area isnât very inviting, smells accordingly, and could use a makeover or a different approach.
But thatâs just nitpicking.

A beautiful area.Negativne straneNot every campsite has water and a water hookup. Renting a bathroom without a private toilet is out of the question.It's a nice place, but we won't be coming back.We searched for a campground based on criteria such as: 1. A site with water and sewer hookups, and 2. The option to book a rental bathroom. This campground met those criteria, so we booked a comfort site and one rental bathroom.
We asked the friendly man at the front deskâwho was also in charge of the... electrical hookupâwhere we could find our water and wastewater connections. He told us we could connect to the water supply at the neighboring site; he couldnât find the wastewater drain either, but said we could pour our gray water into the drain along the path.
When we mentioned that our rental bathroom didnât have its own toilet, he said that yes, there were separate restrooms for all 8 rental bathrooms combined, and we were currently the only ones who had rented a bathroom. Unfortunately, this was only for the first 4 days. Thatâs not what we consider a âprivate bathroom.â
Late in the evening, after a tiring journey and setting up, we noticed that there were still marks from a toothbrush cup or something similar on the bathroom sink. Weâd like to address a few of your comments. Our rental bathrooms are described as having... a separate toilet. The toilets are located right next to the rental bathrooms and are available exclusively to guests with a rental bathroom.
Regarding water supply and wastewater disposal, weâd like to add that the water connection for each comfort campsite is located at the respective electrical box.
