Unfortunately the campsite has lost its old charm. (We've been there again and again for 15 years). Many new pitches are being built. As a simple camper you are banished to the darkest corner (until 2 years ago you had a free choice of pitches). It's pitch dark there, you stumble over manhole covers and stones. Instead, every electric column has a small light - but the large street lamps are simply left out! The rear washroom is in need of a major overhaul
Unfortunately lost a lot
I am disappointed - I have enjoyed using the site so far. The fact that you have to move around in the pitch dark on an expensive campsite is really tough!

- Location (direct bus connection, download Ruter app!) - Beautiful lake within walking distance (can be hiked around) - Good infrastructure, modern sanitary facilities
Negativne strane
- Pitches partly impassable after rain - WLAN not at all pitches
Great for stays in Oslo
A good place for Oslo vacationers, the partly negative reviews had initially made us critical, but then we could not confirm them at all.
The bus connections and general infrastructure (2 supermarkets right next to the site alone) are unbeatable. Despite the high season, there were plenty of free pitches... - we hadn't booked, which wasn't a problem. However, the rainy weather had turned the pitch assigned to us into a muddy landscape. After consulting with reception, we were able to move to another pitch without any problems. Mobile drivers who wanted to try the same corner anyway were eventually pulled out by tractor. The young summer jobbers at reception simply don't know what the conditions of the pitches are like.

huge pitches Supermarket, bus stop and gas station directly in front of the campsite Holmenkollen ski jump within sight nice playground and mini golf course
Negativne strane
Despite low occupancy, we were assigned a parking space right next to a gas station with a car wash - noise pollution from 7 am to 10 pm. In addition, occasional noise pollution from car traffic on the adjacent main road
Convenient for visits to Oslo
We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights on our round trip through Norway to explore Oslo.
The staff member at check-in was not directly unfriendly, but relatively short tempered. Our questions about the connections to the city were probably rather annoying.
We were then allocated a pitch that was relatively... far away from the sanitary building and right next to the petrol station in front of the site with a car wash attached. This was incomprehensible to us as the campsite was not nearly half full.
Pitches very large - sanitary facilities clean and adequate during our stay. Washing machines and dryers available.
The bus connection to the city was excellent.
Bus no. 42 runs directly in front of the campsite every 15 minutes to Tjuvholmen, and you are right in the middle of the city.

Beautiful modern campsite
We were here for one night with a caravan, two adults and three dogs.
Registration was quite quick, but you should say from the outset if you have a larger caravan. There were two complaints before us because people had been given pitches that were too small with their camper vans. But they were also... traveling with "buses". We indicated the size of our caravan and were immediately allocated a sufficiently large pitch.
The pitches on the grass are not completely flat, maybe we were lucky, but with a bit of trial and error we found a position where we didn't have to put anything underneath.
We found the sanitary facilities to be clean and modern.
Yes, there were also two Sinti/Roma families a few caravans away from us. But we didn't notice anything about them, so no problem. There was no "poser" behavior on the site during our stay.
The mini golf course is great and you can also get out of the campsite quickly for the dogs and walk along the golf course to the lake. A nice walk.
Of course, the site is ideal for sightseeing. Of course, it's a city campsite, so you won't find the absolute peace and quiet that you might find at a nature campsite. But that's not why you come here.
The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in.
On the negative side (but it's not the site's fault), you have to drive through city toll roads.
We can recommend the site.

Ideal for Sigthseeing in Oslo
We stayed at the campsite for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised. The site is located in the countryside and yet close to the city. There is a bus stop right by the entrance to the campsite, with a bus to Oslo leaving every 10-15 minutes.
The pitches are large and are allocated when you register,... which we found very positive. There are two sanitary buildings, one of which is fairly new.
During our stay, the campsite was fully booked and there were no waiting times in front of the toilets and showers.
There is a supermarket right next to the entrance to the campsite, which is open daily from 07.00 to 23.00 and where you can buy everything you need.

We will be staying at this campsite again on our next visit to Oslo and can only recommend it.

The opportunity to visit Oslo
Negativne strane
Sanitary building far too small, the camp of the Sinti and Roma with the autoposters at the back, fresh water taps and waste water disposal "underground"
Huge space with potential for better things
Actually, the site would be great if there weren't so many problems! The pitches are large, but sometimes very sloping, you need a lot of chocks.
The sanitary building seems large at the moment, but with so many guests it is extremely inadequate. It is also used as a youth club, the girls squat around... everywhere, block the washbasins and leave garbage behind. The staff just roll their eyes; tougher intervention would be necessary. There is another toilet block at the back of the square, but nobody wants to go there because it is a camp for Sinti and Roma from all over Europe. The young men's second cars are pimped-up luxury cars, which they constantly drive across the square (poser scene) with howling engines and booming radios.
Disposing of the chemical toilet and the camper vans is sometimes a game of patience. Queues form at both points.
The fresh water supply is also not okay, one is right next to the room for the chemical toilet, so the smell is correspondingly bad. The other is in the lower part of the site, it is a concrete ring with a diameter of 2m in which the waste water gully is also located. You stand in the waste water while you want to tap fresh water ...
The new mini-golf course and, as already mentioned, the proximity to Oslo are positive. The bus stop is right next to the course, and if you are good on foot you can walk to the Holmenkollen ski jump. There is a well-stocked supermarket at the entrance to the site.
However, 56 € per night is a bit exclusive

- Beautiful places - Small store with a large selection right next door - new sanitary facilities - new playground - new mini golf - fast in Oslo
Negativne strane
- more service houses need to be distributed - Cold water in the evening when washing up - "Travelers/Gypsy" - demotivated employees at check-out
Great
On the whole a great campsite. A pool would be a highlight.
Explanation to the negative points; - for such a large campsite it would need one or two smaller service houses distributed. It is very congested in the houses in the "rush hour"
- if you are not quick/early enough with washing up you only have... cold water
- on the campsite at the very back there are probably "drivers/gypsy" who like to let their cars roar loudly and drive down the street with loud music. (No matter what time of day) Loitering around the containers doesn't make you feel safe either
- When checking out I had a very demotivated employee who didn't care about the queue at reception.

Very nice campsite
We were pleasantly surprised by the campsite. There are very nice pitches with a great view over the adjacent recreational area. (Pitches for heavy motorhomes are not so nicely positioned behind the sanitary facilities).
The sanitary facilities are state of the art, almost luxurious and always clean.... The reception is professional and uncomplicated.
The local recreation area with swimming lake and 18-hole golf course is only a few minutes' walk away. A bus runs directly in front of the campsite every quarter of an hour to the city center of Oslo in about 30 minutes without changing.
There is a well-stocked supermarket right next to the campsite.
All in all, a very good campsite that we would always return to when visiting Oslo.

Located close to the city. The bus leaves right outside the door. Plenty of space and a superlative wash house!
Negativne strane
Apart from the price, there are no disadvantages to be found.
Expensive but oh hooo!
The campsite is in a very ideal location. The lake is only a short distance away and very inviting. Everything is very well maintained and the wash house seems to be very new. It gives the impression of a SPA house. Everything has been thought of. There is even a separate baby changing area. They didn't... stop halfway here!
There is also a supermarket on the doorstep which is open on Sundays.
A bus (line 32) runs directly from here to the city in about 25 minutes. You can get tickets directly at the service counter. With 111.00 crowns you can travel 24 hours on all buses and trains in the city.
The staff is very attentive and courteous. It is almost impossible to leave here with a bad impression!

Good place to visit Oslo
Bogstad Camping is the ideal campsite for a visit to Oslo. The bus stops directly at the campsite and you can be in the center of Oslo in 30 minutes without changing buses. The sanitary building is very modern and clean. The pitches are spacious but not always level. In rainy weather, the grass pitches... quickly turn into muddy pitches. There is a large new KIWI supermarket and a petrol station right next to the campsite. All in all, we felt at home here

The only campsite in Oslo where dogs are allowed
There are not many campsites in Oslo, this is the only one where dogs are allowed. You can be in the city center in 30 minutes by bus (dogs are also allowed there), the bus stop is right in front of the campsite. There is also a supermarket and a gas station right next to the campsite. Holmenkollen can be reached on foot in 45 minutes. The site itself has a bouncy castle and mini golf. Very clean sanitary facilities.

Good campsite for visiting Oslo.
As the second campsite was fully booked, we were sent to Bogstad Camp and didn't regret it. The Holmenkollen ski museum is not far away (10 minutes by car), we went swimming in the evenings and went on lovely walks. You didn't have the feeling that you were in a big city. Our luck was that we were accommodated in the far corner with our van, so it was very quiet.

- Meadow unmown and partly not passable - Hardly any water points on the meadow - Only one dishwashing facility for the entire pitch
Mediocre campsite
Very large campsite near the famous Holmenkollen ski jump. The sanitary block had just been rebuilt and was therefore in very good condition. As we wanted a pitch without electricity, we were given a pitch on an unmown meadow. Due to the weather, it was partly impassable, so finding a pitch was a lengthy process. It was also the most expensive pitch on our two-week trip.

Tourist spot stop
We spent 2 nights here at the end of our motorcycle Northern Cape tour - but it is a very busy tourist campsite due to its location. The reception was businesslike but friendly. The cabins were clean, but the ventilation was poor. There were only windows in the front part and the heat (we had 30 C) built... up a lot. The sanitary facilities were below average at best. In front of our hut was the junk furniture of the neighboring hut, which was just being renovated and it was not cleared away. The sunbathing lawn by the lake is full of dogs. BUT there is a well-stocked small supermarket right at the entrance.
