We were greeted very warmly and kindly, and were able to choose our own spot. The restrooms are clean and fairly new. We also tried the food and were pleasantly surprised—it was very tasty. All in all, it was a wonderful short stay for a long weekend. The campground was the ideal starting point for our motorcycle tours. We especially loved the quiet, well-maintained, and clean grounds, the relaxed atmosphere, and the warm hospitality... of Susanne, Holger, and the entire team. The food and service were also outstanding. We felt completely at home and will definitely be back.

Even the telephone inquiry, which was made at very short notice, was particularly friendly and accommodating.
Some uncertainties caused by me were resolved on arrival without any problems and in a friendly manner. The... request to change seats was also granted immediately.
The friendliness of the operators should be particularly emphasized, which is not artificial but really warm.
The site is clean and well-kept, with attention to detail. The sanitary facilities are just as clean and well maintained.
The food in the Mühlenschenke was excellent and plentiful. Anything that wasn't finished was packed up.

A very good choice: we were able to rent a reasonably priced hiker's hut with good facilities for two nights and enjoy... the advantages of the site. These included: The very accommodating and cosmopolitan operator couple, the spacious and scenic overall layout of the site, the culture of communication cultivated there, the catering, the facilities and the remarkably high standard of hygiene in the sanitary facilities. The geographical location proved to be another stroke of luck. We were particularly impressed by the peace and quiet and the relaxed atmosphere - perfect for switching off. The entire site is very clean and designed with great attention to detail; you immediately notice how lovingly everything is cared for here. The free-roaming... animals are a real highlight and give the campsite a very special charm. The on-site gastronomy is also excellent and rounds off the overall package perfectly. Der Platz hat eine tolle Lage am Idar-Bach. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und betreiben den Campingplatz mit viel Herzblut und sind jederzeit ansprechbar. Besonders schön fanden wir die vielen Tiere hier, Kaninchen, Enten, Laufenten, Wellensittiche... und nicht zu vergessen die freilaufenden Hühner. Die Sanitäranlagen waren immer sauber, der einzige Punkt, den man eventuell verbessern könnte, wären ein paar Spülbecken mehr. Aber andererseits lädt ein "Stau" beim Spülen auch zum Plaudern mit Nachbarn ein. Das Wirtshaus ist absolut zum empfehlen, wir hatten sehr gut gegessen und der Wirt ist sehr flexibel mit den Öffnungszeiten, zu erwähnen ist auch sein guter Musikgeschmack, der uns entgegenkam.

Beautifully situated, quiet and embedded in nature, it offers everything you could want for a relaxing break. The facility is not too big, which creates a pleasantly personal atmosphere. At the same time, it is very well thought out, progressive and excellently maintained. What particularly strikes me is the exceptional cleanliness and clear organization. The sanitary facilities are modern, spotlessly clean and in perfect technical condition. Everything looks neat, functional and inviting at the same time. You can tell that a lot of attention has been paid to detail here. The pitches are generously sized, level and beautifully designed - whether you have a tent, caravan or motorhome, you will find peace and quiet and plenty of space here. The location right next to a babbling brook, surrounded by meadows and woodland, creates a relaxed, natural atmosphere. The service is friendly, helpful and unobtrusive - just right.
