Everything was clean and the showers were just like at home. There was no queuing for the toilets and showers as there were plenty available. The small swimming lake is ideal for cooling off on hot days and the indoor pool for rainy weather.... The campsite has everything you need as a family with two children aged 5 and 7. Our plans changed and we only stayed for 1 night, but most certainly we will be back to stay for longer. The new shower block is outstanding with your own bathroom complete with toilet basin and wet room... shower . We ate at the brewery pub and the food and staff were welcoming and friendly.
The lady on reception at the campsite was really friendly and informative .

So it's a shame that we didn't have more time. But luckily for us Freiburgers, the Black Forest is not that far away. For everyone else: Be sure to plan more time to not only enjoy the amenities of the campsite... but also to explore the beautiful surroundings thoroughly. Although I was able to get to know the site as a child over 40 years ago, I am even more impressed by the site today. You can see every day how much love goes into everything and even the small details are important to the Rogg family. The guided tour of the brewery is also highly recommended. Mr. Axel took over 3 hours for our small group (7 adults and one young person) including a tasting for just a few euros. You don't often find that these days.
At Gasthof Rogg, the customer is king from the moment... they enter until they leave. The food, friendliness, ambience and cleanliness are all to your complete satisfaction.
And even the public transport connections to Freiburg are great.

We arrived on Wednesday and then had rain on Thursday night. Our pitch
(no. 52) and my sister's pitch (no. 53) were completely muddy in the area of the awning that morning. When we asked... the lady at the registration desk if we could get other pitches, she said that she didn't have time now and that all the free pitches were reserved. I have to say that we had already booked in November 2024. The problem with the pitches mentioned here has been known to the operators for some time and nothing is being done about it. The free pitches, e.g. on the other side of the road directly opposite our pitches, were only ever allocated on a daily basis and could be chosen by the guests. It was therefore quite possible to give us other pitches promptly if we had wanted to, but this was not the case. The operators are also not prepared to charge less for these pitches. If we had left earlier, we would have had to pay €15 per day for the days we didn't use.
After further complaints, we were then offered other pitches on the tenth day of our stay (we were there for 14 days). These were exactly the ones that were on the other side of the road and were only ever allocated for 1 - 2 days during our stay.
The lady in the shop could certainly work on her interaction with guests and be a bit more friendly.
As already mentioned at the beginning, the place is actually beautiful and we would certainly have felt comfortable here if the employees / operators of the place had taken our problems seriously and at least tried to find a solution. Great, brand new sanitary facilitiesNegatiivisetOur pitch was a bit uneven this time, so we couldn't make use of the shade on the pitch, but stood in the sun instead.Natural, but modernThis was our second time there and not our last. The swimming pond is great for older children and with the non-swimmer area and its newts it's always great for younger children too. You can pass the time in the indoor pool and sauna when the weather is bad.
The new sanitary facilities with their various... murals are a highlight. The only drawback here is the small number of toilets (there are sometimes waiting times - although you could then switch to the older sanitary facilities). It would be even better if the sanitary facilities were cleaned several times a day due to the high frequency of use.
We would love to come back because we enjoy the family atmosphere and love the place as a starting point for hikes and horse rides. All in all, the stay was very uncomplicated.
Unfortunately, due to the rather bad weather for July with cold nights and wet days, we had to leave a little earlier and were also unable to enjoy the swimming lake as we had hoped. Furthermore, there are two restaurants directly on site that offer delicious and inexpensive food.
The in-house brewery also invites you to taste and linger. There is also a small store with a drinks market and bread roll service.

We were there for 4 nights with our caravan.
The pitches are generously sized.
There is an indoor swimming pool, a sauna and a swimming pond with free loungers.
The sanitary facilities are new and modern.
And above all very clean.
The showers are equipped with toilet and washbasin (a lockable... room).
Anyone who needs a private bathroom must have special reasons.
Private bathrooms are also available.
The location of the site is quite good,
with direct access to a 27 km long cycle path.
An e-bike is an advantage.
There is a small store on the site itself where you can get the essentials at fair prices (bread roll service).
The campsite has 2 restaurants with a family-run brewery.
I can recommend the place.
There are also spaces for larger vehicles.

I absolutely have to get to know this place personally.
My first inquiry on a "Sunday" about dates and pitches was answered within a very short time. I had an estimated 2-3 hours. A written... reservation, and after paying the deposit by bank transfer, a confirmation for the stay in my hands/printer.
I booked a stay for 8 days, with electricity and a 4sqm rental bathroom. The pitch assigned to me, no. 54, was suitable for satellite reception, had electricity in the immediate vicinity, but was a little too sloping, which could not be fully compensated for with chocks. On the last day of my stay I was able to change pitches again and the car was level.
The whole site was very nice and almost perfect. The owners and the whole team of staff at reception, in the supermarket and in the catering area were exceptionally competent and friendly.
I have rarely found such perfectly clean toilets and shower facilities on my many trips. My only personal criticism, however, is due to my age. No toilet, shower or rental bathroom is at ground level. Everything is only accessible via many stairs.
An indoor pool with sauna and wellness area, swimming pond, supermarket with bread roll service. Drinks shop, "Kreuzeck" restaurant with good cuisine and reasonable prices. The Rogg brewery inn is also highly recommended.
My wife and I felt very welcome and comfortable. A friend of mine and his wife also spent the whole time on the pitch next door. We also had a visit from our grandchildren from Switzerland. Everyone was in agreement. It was a very nice and pleasant stay at the Kreuzeck campsite. Socket no. 47 was also faulty.... The defects at power socket no. 6 were already known before our arrival and had been reported by guests present.
Unfortunately, still nothing was done to repair and ensure safety for newly arriving guests. Which caused damage to the guest's vehicle on pitch 47 the next day.
Defects in electrical installations can be fatal!

The site is rounded off by the local brewery and restaurant. We did not use the second restaurant on the site. But we did use the small store, which offers almost everything we need and of course the good Lenzkirch beer, even chilled.

Everything is relaxed and laid-back. The riding stables on the grounds are an enrichment. It's really funny when horses are led through the campsite to the paddock! Children get to know each other and have a carefree vacation, as do the adults. The bread rolls from the local bakery taste fantastic.

As it was still the Whitsun vacations, it was correspondingly busy.
However, we didn't feel cramped due to the large pitches.
Fresh water connection and electricity connection directly on the pitch. The new sanitary... building with adjoining indoor pool (7 x 20 m) meets my expectations of an upmarket campsite. There is also a wellness and sauna area, which we were unable to use this time.
The very clean and comfortable shower cubicles with integrated toilet, washbasin and dressing area far exceeded my expectations.
The well-equipped little store, bread roll service and long opening hours are also worth mentioning here.
The restaurant and hotel right next to the campsite is highly recommended, very tasty and excellent value for money.
The price is in the upper range, but is justified by the recreational value.

The location was TOP as a starting point for hikes and walks. There is everything you need on the site, including a small store, restaurant,... But also great Italian in Lenzkirch.
We were there with our dog.
Due to a somewhat larger Swiss group who were there together on the... campsite and many families with children, there wasn't necessarily that much peace and quiet for us as a couple during the day. But it wasn't very disturbing either.
We enjoyed the daily walks around the campsite with our dog.

Bread roll service, a small supermarket, barbecue area, small swimming lake, small indoor swimming pool, sauna, nice playground, guest card with many possibilities, inn and brewery inn with coordinated opening hours right next door. Very close to nature, lovingly decorated with lots of flowers, herb garden to serve.
