Rude staffJust a bad place to campCamping Les Arolles is not a good place to camp for hikers. I camped here for 2 nights after my TMB hike when I was too exhausted to go anywhere else and it's a really poorly run caravan park.
Here are a few examples:
They don’t have credit card facilities, so you have to walk a fair bit to get money... out. They don’t put toilet paper in the toilet cubicles, which is insane, just a single dispenser in the room. If you don't know this, or take enough paper before using the toilet, you're stuck.
They don’t have soap at any sink to wash hands. It seems like their stinginess causes constant inconveniences.
WIFI didn't work at all, i had multiple devices to test this. It connects, but internet was non existant. I had to use my mobile data.
They have a gravel driveway next to the campsite for hikers, so the site is covered in small sharp rocks that will rip your tent.
However, the staff were not good to deal with, which matches the general attitude that decided to deprive customers of soap and toilet paper.
