Schwerin isn’t far away, and Wismar is also easily accessible. The restroom facilities are new and clean. On the tent field, there are restrooms for quick stops and a place to wash dishes. The campground isn’t very large. The beach has lifeguards on duty. You can walk several meters into the water before it gets any deeper. Ideal for younger children.NegatiivisetThe description online suggests that the beach—which also serves as the town’s outdoor swimming pool—closes at 6 p.m. during the early season. So you can’t go for a walk along the water. Outside the beach area, a belt of reeds surrounds the lake. The tent field is located right next to the through road and is visible from the street. At night, you can hear the highway.12 Days on the CampgroundThe campground is mostly used by travelers passing through. On weekends, groups also gather here on the tent field to have a good time.
It’s ideal as a “base camp” for excursions in the surrounding area.
The restroom facilities are modern and clean.
There’s a small grocery store at the reception desk... and a bread roll delivery service. Shopping options are available in town.
The supervised beach is free for campground guests to use. However, it also serves as the town’s natural outdoor swimming area. There are numerous sporting opportunities, so there's something for everyone. We were particularly impressed by the great beach bar with fair and affordable prices.
The beach is beautiful and invites you to relax. The sunsets are an... absolute highlight - they make for fantastic photos that make you think you're in Ibiza or another exclusive vacation destination.
We really enjoyed our stay and were completely satisfied. One thing is certain for us: we'll be back! The beach was great. Very suitable for children as it is very shallow at the beginning.
The water was very clear and very clean.
You can also easily walk to Neustadt-Glewe, it only takes about 10 minutes.
We felt very comfortable and will definitely return
