"Relax and enjoy - This was a lovely site which immediately made you relax. A warm welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble is you needed something or wanted to ask for help and advice. The whole site was clean and well kept and the environmentally friendly approach was good to see. Solar panels, chickens, bikes and run by people who were happy with what they were doing and wanted others to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and countryside. It was a lovely part of the Netherlands and with a local map with various information on it, it proved to be a good area to explore and enjoy. The houses were well kept and everyone was very friendly. It made us embarrassed that our Dutch was not as good as their English - but at least we tried to say the basic "yes", "please", "thank you", and "no" but in the end English was easy and even English with a bit of gesturing was enough to make everyone understand each other. With using bikes every day, all one needed on the return to the campsite was a hot shower and people who were happy to chat and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. The campsite was clean and very well kept and it was good to have that "laid back" approach which made you relax even more. It is certainly somewhere which would be on our list to consider to return to again and do some more exploring now we know what is involved and what there is to see. The weather was fantastic and we really enjoyed the time there. Would recommend it to others from the UK. Easy flight to Eindhoven and good taxi service to the camp site (we had booked the taxi in advance). All in all we had great holdiay.

We are great lovers of nature and manage Aldörrum on the edge of the historic bell village of Aarle-Rixtel. We are proud that Aldörrum is energy neutral. This way we can contribute to keeping the traveller's climate footprint as small …as possible. Our campsite is located in a quiet area in south-east Brabant on the border of the De Biezen nature reserve. In a unique location - very close to the forest - you will find a place where you are always welcome. To sleep, to meet other people and to experience nature. It is a place where you can be yourself. Chickens scratch in the yard. The orchards offer exclusive and old fruit varieties. This way we can offer you ingredients for a delicious breakfast with homemade jams, fruit juices and of course the eggs from our own free-range chickens. You can store bikes in a covered bike shed with several charging points for e-bikes. The pitches are located in an orchard with tall trees. Each of the 25 spacious pitches is equipped with a 6A electricity connection. The site is divided into three fields. The campsite is car-free. For cyclists or hikers passing through, there is always a pitch with a bench nearby. If you arrive here without your own caravan / motorhome, you can rent one of the Karsten tents. These inflatable tents are made of one piece, so water, wind and bugs stay outside. Inside the tents you will find beds and electric lighting. However, you have to provide your own bedding. If you want something more luxurious, you can rent a room in the pavilion. There is room for two to four people here. Guests have a kitchenette, TV and free internet connection. Campinplatz Aldörrum offers excellent heated sanitary facilities, which are also very clean. The well-maintained toilet block has an outdoor and an indoor area. All showers have a wet and a dry area with a bench. Some showers are equipped with secure wall handles. It is also possible to hire a private bathroom. For a fee you can use our Private Spa (Foemel). The intimate bathroom with whirlpool, sauna and infrared cabin is an island of personal wellness.
