A very disappointing experience
We arrived without a reservation and asked if it was possible to stay for just two nights. The staff confirmed that it wasn’t a problem, and we paid the full amount in cash for the two nights on the day of arrival.

When we tried to leave after the two nights we had paid for, the owner stopped us at... the gate with a very aggressive and condescending attitude. He claimed that we had booked five nights and demanded that we pay 50% of the remaining three nights, saying that we were harming his business by leaving early.

The campsite was almost empty, which made this demand even harder to understand.

While trying to prove his point, he showed us a WhatsApp conversation, but after checking it more carefully, he realized that the reservation belonged to someone else, not us. Despite this obvious mistake, the entire situation was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional.

The restrooms were also in very poor condition—dirty, rusty, and not properly maintained.

Because of the owner’s behavior and the condition of the restrooms, we cannot recommend this campsite.

Camping in Kavala
The very friendly owners and their staff more than make up for it with their warmth.
The resort is located in a gorgeous bay a few kilometers outside of Kavala. Unfortunately, you still need a car or motorcycle, since there’s no sidewalk leading into town. I wouldn’t dare ride a bike there either. ...
Unfortunately, there’s no convenience store to buy basic groceries and drinks. There is a great restaurant where you can enjoy excellent food, as well as a beach bar, but campers also want to eat and drink right at the campground. There’s definitely room for improvement there.
Still, our stay was wonderful, and we’ll definitely be back.
As for peace and quiet: on weekends, the long-term campers show up, and things get pretty noisy. They throw parties, so there’s no peace at night. So either join the party or pop in some earplugs 😆.

Camping Terra is part of the Batis complex.
The campsites are a bit unkempt, and the restrooms look shabby. But the pools and the beach with its two-color night-lit rocky shoreline and the inflatable water cushions where you can play water volleyball, water polo and water trampoline are worth a visit.

Can stay
It is not the most beautiful campsite in Greece, but it is a decent facility. it is a multi-complex consisting of a hotel, beach, restaurant and camping. food and beverage facilities are very sufficient, the beach and green area are great. the camping area is a bit neglected, but the areas are separated and all of them are shaded.

Well-organised but noisy
It is a well developed and clean campsite with many leisure opportunities. It is part of a big complex with many activities. There was a wedding party when we arrived. It went on until 3 am with too much noise. Consider this aspect when coosing. It has a beach with sun beds. It is free to use as long as you buy drinks from the beach bar.

Large separate, hedge-fenced areas for trailers. Toilets in old buildings, but quite clean. Extremely clean and picturesque sea accessible from the campground. Unfortunately, the beach is occupied by a bar. One has to buy a drink. Quite a distance to the store.

On arrival, we were told that there were plenty of free pitches available. When we looked at the pitches, there were cars from other pitches parked all over the place. There was not one usable pitch. To find a pitch in the high season, you would have to ask the drivers to move their cars! I expect more for the price (36 euros in high season). I therefore cannot recommend this site at all.

Campsite Batis meets all the requirements for a relaxing vacation . Although there is no cemetery silence , you can not say that you are disturbed by noise . To criticize would be only the somewhat sparse range of goods in the mini market . Overall impression : GOOD

Camping close to Kavala, rich infrastructure,pool , beachbar and similar attractions. Close to the busy road, rather for 1 -2 nights, take a breather and then continue on the road.Prices for Greece in high season moderate - camper + 3 people about 26 euros.
