A very nice campground, great location, very quiet, and family-friendly.

Restroom facilities: Since we’ve enjoyed our vacations here many times before—including with the whole family, 12 people—we were actually disappointed this time around. One thing that had always been a positive aspect was the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. But this year, the cleanliness was disastrous. The restrooms weren’t cleaned for up to 24 hours, and paper towels were often missing. We simply don’t think using some kind of “blue chemical” that then gets tracked all over the restroom is a good solution, . .

We love this campground and enjoy coming back every year because of its location and the beautiful lake. The sites are large enough, but there are some downsides—see below.

The shower drains often give off a strong, musty odor, which could be avoided with regular cleaning. It’s gross! The men’s showers lack a place to set down your toiletries. A shelf attached to the corner would be a significant improvement. Now, something very unpleasant that’s been going on for years and has caused frustration among many campers I’ve gotten to know over the years. The campground operator makes every effort to prevent loud partying and rowdiness, including loud outdoor music. In addition, some campers—some of whom come here annually—artificially create more parking space by parking their cars halfway to three-quarters of the way onto the main road, which narrows the passageway; others follow suit, making the situation even worse. The manager drives by, but he doesn’t seem to care—which is viewed negatively by many who witness this. Cars belong on one’s own plot to leave room and not completely block the view for others with their huge RVs and cars on top of that. I see this as a matter of common sense that is being exploited here due to inaction. Split air conditioners that run all day and even at night naturally make a humming noise that reaches the neighbors behind us, and requests to turn them off—since they blow air and hum right up against our own window even at night—are ignored or brushed off with a lack of understanding. It doesn’t bother them themselves at the back of the building. I doubt these units have been registered, since the flat-rate electricity charge would otherwise be 7.50. This stood out as extremely negative, as such incidents have increased significantly this year. Here, too, an inspection and—as is now standard practice everywhere—operating regulations would remedy the situation.

There aren't many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately, the beer garden isn't open either.

No showers on the beach. Duck and goose droppings on the beach are a nuisance.

We had a spot right on the lake—wonderful! They could do a better job of marking the size of the spots. However, the spots were very large. The beach club, within walking distance, invites you to linger with its bar! Prices are reasonable. The kiosk also has reasonable prices and is well-stocked. Great restroom facilities—spotlessly clean, with soap and paper towels!! I

A long way to the wash house

Very nice staff and a very well-kept campsite. We had a pitch with a view of the lake. The site is in a great location and offers lots of leisure activities. Also very good with a dog. Once around the lake (6.5 km) are on foot or by bike, are very easy to master. We can warmly recommend the place. Whether with children, dog or just to relax, just top. We will definitely visit the site again.

Everything was good

This was our 11th time at Murner See. A beautiful campsite on an enchanting lake. In addition to activities outside the campsite, the small kiosk also provides the essentials.

The WLAN reception urgently needs to be improved. During the 10 days of our stay we had hardly any reception and that in price category 1, unless you are on pitches up to no. 80. It was also a shame that we were surrounded by large motorhomes. I think that should be better planned. Especially as there were enough free pitches.
