"Leisure and camping park Wisseler See Kalkar - South square booked, far away from the actual square, can only be entered and driven on with a key. The pitch is for dog owners, dogs are not allowed on the main pitch except in the beer garden. Sanitary facilities are only cleaned once early in the morning, not enough in high season. Clothes get wet when showering. OK for families with children without dogs, not suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. Bread roll service can be ordered via QR code. The site is dominated by permanent campers. Some pitches difficult to access, maneuvering. Everyone stands as they want. Site extremely fenced, lake view only permanent campers. Price performance was ok, we won't come again.

"Nice campsite, but... - Such a place, large pitches. However, everything looks a bit outdated. The sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. Even if they are old, they should be clean. The bakery is quite expensive, the owner sometimes oversleeps. Restaurant difficult. In general, the friendliness is manageable. This is all a shame, because the competition nearby is huge and good.

"Plenty of room for improvement - We were just passing through and therefore only spent one night on the site. For this reason, we didn't use anything except the sanitary facilities. These were quite something. I'm not talking about the age, the sight of which took me back to my childhood. I'm simply talking about the cleanliness. I will say in advance that I used the toilet and the washbasin in the camper van, because the sight of them made me sick. This condition was identical in the evening and also the next morning around 10am. I would say that this pitch for €36.81 for 1 motorhome, 2 people, electricity flat rate is really overpriced. On departure, we spoke to the really nice lady at reception about the shortcomings. Comment: It is cleaned regularly. What else can you say?

"Unfortunately not anymore - As a former long-term camper, I am happy to return to the site, having come here with my wife 25 years ago. Back then it was still the municipal campsite. Now you can see a change compared to before. The suspended ceilings in the sanitary buildings suffer from the permanent lighting. Permanent campers are nestled in, and in some cases entire pitches have been covered over. This is no longer camping, more like an allotment garden association. What particularly bothered me was the unequal treatment. My car wasn't allowed on the pitch despite having a space. It wasn't a problem next door, perhaps because the car was bigger than our VW or had no engine and therefore couldn't leak oil. Thanks to the Kalkar tourism tax (from 2025), we won't be coming back because the price-performance ratio has deteriorated even further. 04.05.2025 Greetings from Duisburg

"Easter 2023 - This was our second time there. Great place even with children. The ice cream van that comes from the next village was a big highlight on the site. The surrounding area is great for short bike rides, the restaurant on site is great.

To help you find …the perfect place for your camping holiday, we have different areas, pitch sizes, locations and services. Take your time to choose your favourite place and book it online on this website. You can choose between the mill camp area with 80 to 90 m² of space, the castle camp area with 80 m² of space or the dune camp area with 40 to 50 m² of space. We know that for many people, a family holiday is only perfect if their beloved four-legged friend comes along. That's why you can also spend your holiday with your dog on our south-facing pitch. Our goal is to make your stay a success. In addition to culinary delicacies ranging from burgers to beef and fish, and including crisp salads, there is something for everyone. When the weather is nice and summery, the beer garden of the Campino restaurant is a popular meeting place for camping and non-camping guests. During the season, you can get fresh bread rolls every morning from the regional baker ‘Gerards’ in Rees in our shop. If you have forgotten something important at home, you will not only find baked goods here, but also products for your daily needs, food and everything related to camping. There are various play areas and playgrounds on the grounds of the Wisseler See holiday and leisure park. You will find playgrounds, for example, at the outdoor pool, at the trekking huts, in the castle camp or on the southern field. Here you will also find sand play areas, slides, climbing facilities and swings. If you fancy a bit of sport during your relaxing family holiday, there are beach volleyball courts, a football pitch and various table tennis tables in the outdoor pool area. We rent out high-quality equipment, just contact us at the reception. We rent out bicycles, Kettcars, beach volleyball, board games, CEE adapters, beer table sets and rental grills.
