The location by the lake, good service at the front desk, and helpful orientation. Direct access to the lake for swimming and water sports; no motorboats (except electric ones). Fairly quiet. Fresh rolls are available in the morning.

The campground is somewhat remote; it's a long walk to stores and other amenities. There is no kiosk or restaurant on site—the nearest restaurant is at the public beach, about a 10-minute walk away. The beach is partly rocky; bring water shoes.

Anything written before 2026 should be disregarded, and the new operator should be given a chance.
Our arrival was nothing like what was described earlier—we received a friendly welcome and a thorough orientation at the site explaining where everything is and how it works.
Due to the risk of wildfires,... charcoal grills were prohibited.
Camping sites aren’t fenced off but are marked on the ground.
Cars park above on the parking lot; the grassy paths aren’t graveled and are partly rutted.
Access to the restrooms and dishwashing area—except for the portable toilet—is only possible with a chip card. We (2 people) were given only one card, so one of us always had to wait while the other showered, since the shower also requires this chip card to operate. There’s room for improvement here. Our neighbors (2 adults + 3 children) had received 2 cards.
The entrance gate also requires this chip card to operate; quiet hours are from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Our conclusion: Always a good choice for a short getaway; we wouldn’t stay longer, though, due to the amenities available on-site. But we’ll be back—for another short getaway.

The restrooms are cleaned very well, but unfortunately there is mold in the grout of the showers. Also, unfortunately, there aren't many recreational options in the immediate vicinity.
It'll last a few days
We spent 5 days at the lovely lake. We were able to check in at 2:00 p.m. on the first day. We received a key card to open the gate and use the showers. The staff are very helpful and courteous!
You can order the bread roll service for the next morning directly at the front desk until 4:00 p.m. Everything... is accessible for people with disabilities. There’s also a separate room for people with disabilities and babies, equipped with a shower, a changing table, and a small bathtub for the little ones. In the reception building, you can buy a few small souvenirs, ice cream, and wine. There’s a natural lake with a dock, a diving board, and a small slide, as well as regular access to the lake. For children’s recreation, the campground features a ping-pong table, small soccer goals, two swings, and a wooden playhouse. Dogs are allowed but are not permitted to swim in the lake. There is also a room with a washing machine and dryer. Gas cylinders can be exchanged on-site.

What can we say, a super small campsite with everything our heart desires.

Not for caravan drivers. Pitches for vacationers are designed for motorhomes. My pitch was approx. 12 * 5 m = 60 m (half the size of a normal pitch), so that the lines of my small awning were already on the next pitch. No demarcation (like hedges) between the pitches. Marking is simply done with red... paint spots.

The car is then charged extra for this convenience. As if we caravan drivers with a 60m² tube pitch weren't already punished enough.

No store, bread rolls could be ordered at reception. Fill up water with canister.
The restaurants in the neighboring village are only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
Busy at the weekend. Little going on during the week.

Conclusion:
A mediocre place that even in the low season
prices as in the high season on Fehmarn.

Great location
We used the site for one night as an overnight stopover.
Our pitch was right next to the playground, opposite the wash house - making it a busy location.
Bread roll service is offered - 3 types of good tasting bread at moderate prices and 350 m away we also ate very well in the Perle ship restaurant,... where the prices are also moderate.
There was a welcome pack for dogs and there are dog waste bag dispensers on the site with appropriate disposal facilities.
The sanitary block was very clean - showers cost extra and are charged by card.
Overall, the campsite is in a very nice location and we could well imagine a longer stay.

Quiet location
The site is very nice and quiet right on the lake. The sanitary facilities are new and very clean. The staff are very nice!
Our pitch was graveled and was just barren! Zero atmosphere! Too bad!
We made a reservation and still got a transit pitch. What a pity!

Too little information about everything. The sanitary facilities are too small. Lack of local knowledge from the staff. The closing times are too long.
Great place, unfortunately far below its possibilities
We were well received, had a briefing on the site (unfortunately without explaining how to use the showers, other things like waste disposal, toilet disposal are apparently self-explanatory here), there was some garbage lying around on the site, the grass was not mowed, not to mention all the garbage... in the lake. We had been given a gravel pitch, after we had finally put in all the pegs, the vacation could begin. We had very nice neighbors and everything was explained to us. The use of the sanitary facilities was difficult due to the high occupancy at peak times. The surroundings were very beautiful, but the friendly lady at reception could not describe simple routes. As wine drinkers, we would have imagined the region to be different. The winemakers in the region were not represented at reception. The leisure facilities at the campsite could be improved. Overall, we had a very nice vacation here, but it would not have been the same without our own initiative. The flyers from 2018 could be replaced.

Friendly manager, clean camping site. But no matter if pre, main or post season always the same price. Very high. ACSI is displayed, but it is not. That is the negative effect. The cost for one night in November is very high.

Nice little campsite - insider tip!
The Sweet Lake is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the Mansfeld region. In addition to the usual opportunities for swimming and water sports, the area offers excursions to a small wine-growing region in the immediate vicinity, which attracts visitors with various wine taverns in an idyllic location... and offers almost Mediterranean charm. The campsite is located directly on the lake with direct access for swimming via a jetty. Thanks to the friendly and attentive staff, sufficiently large pitches, practical facilities, modern and clean sanitary facilities, it can be recommended without reservation, regardless of whether you are traveling with a tent, caravan or motorhome. Gladly again!

Very disappointed
The sanitary facilities are cleaned but once a day is not enough with the crowds of people. The barrier is closed from 12 to 14. Why is that? Exactly after 10 pm you can neither get in nor out by car. Friendliness is zero here.

A little far but beautifully situated
Beautifully situated site, right on the lake. Friendly welcome on arrival, clean pitches. When fully occupied (over May 1st) there is sometimes a queue in the wash house, from my point of view a little less toilets, washbasins and showers. Clean sanitary facilities, showers can be paid for with a card.... On the pitch, during the week, no supply of everyday necessities, e.g. bread rolls. At the weekend a baker and a butcher came to the site with a trolley, highly recommended. There were some flyers in reception but the young lady there had no idea what was going on in the area or could recommend an event. There was only a "reference" to the internet. One evening there was a "beach party" organized, which was very nicely done. In summary, a nice and clean place in a good location directly on the lake. Perhaps a little too few sanitary facilities when fully booked.

Big disappointment
Unfortunately, the friendliness has turned negative due to a change of groundsman, a great pity for the rest of the site staff. It is also unacceptable that the entire sanitary facilities and showers were not cleaned for two days after Pentecost. In general, until the vacation season, cleaning was done once a day every two days, some of the vacationers didn't even take a shower. For this reason, a remedy must be found as soon as possible.

in need of improvement!
We were at the Seeburg campsite on the long Whitsun weekend 2018 because of an MDR report. The tenant seemed to have changed, the familiar face from the TV documentary was nowhere to be seen. It was rumored that he had taken over the management of the campsite. On a positive note, we were not disappointed... for the first two days. The site is well maintained and the sanitary facilities were clean. When we came back from a day trip on Whit Saturday, there wasn't a free parking space in front of the barrier, and we got the last one inside. Late in the evening, I drove the car back in front of the barrier as I hadn't booked the "inside parking". There was a beach party in the evening. There was a party, someone played the guitar and sang along, and there was a pleasant atmosphere. The beach party was officially over at around 11 pm, but this didn't stop a handful of campers from extending the party with loud music and roaring until 3 am. Several campers, who were looking for sleep and couldn't find it, tried to persuade their fellow campers to quiet down, but only got the stink eye and stupid comments thrown at them. When we left, we mentioned this situation to the young lady at reception and it seemed that she didn't think it was important for us to point out that in the event of an emergency at night, a janitor service should be available if not ourselves. I also have to reprimand the dog owners, the dogs were often walked on the main paths and did their business in places where children ran. At least the dog owners we saw removed the large amounts of waste. Conclusion: The new site management urgently needs to make improvements, otherwise the recreation-seeking campers will stay away and the site will degenerate into a party place. Would we visit the site again? After remedying the shortcomings, yes, quite probably!

Never again!
We only lasted one night! We were there with our children and dog. Our children were 1 and 3 years old. The midday rest was not respected in any way, the night was very loud, the field kitchen agnorabt and outrageous. Our dog was not allowed in the water anywhere, the beach had very bad sand, the playground... was full of garbage (chocolate paper, ice cream sticks). Everything around it was very, very bad for a relaxing vacation with a dog and children. What a pity!

super campsite
We were there with our 3 year old daughter for 5 days. She had so much fun and felt so comfortable that we are considering going there again. All the staff and operators of the campsite were very friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with the sanitary facilities (they were cleaned every... day, it was always really clean, the toilets and showers were in top condition). It was quiet at night from 10pm. The bakery car came almost every day and provided us with fresh rolls/bread/cakes for the day. The ducks greeted us every day (but please don't feed them, otherwise you'll have duck droppings on the pitch). The water was wonderfully refreshing and there was an area for our daughter to splash around. We had a lot of fun and it was pure relaxation. Thank you very much

Never again
We are very disappointed!!! We became aware of it through a report in the MDR, everything seemed very nice and well-kept to us, so we made a Sunday trip to see the place on site. So 4 weeks in advance we personally RESERVED two adjacent places with the boss When we arrived, however, these were taken... and everyone would have stood at a different end of the square. we had been able to present the printout from the boss to show our reserved seats, but of course that didn't help us either..... The alternative pitch offered to us by the boss's wife was an imposition for two caravans. The pitches were as cramped as in a sardine tin, the main thing is that the money is right, so you can forget about reservations... We were also amazed at the price for the showers, as this was definitely NOT on the official price list. We definitely won't be back We found a great alternative place and spent a few nice days NEBENEINANDER

beautifully situated but unfortunately very unclean
We stayed at the campsite with friends for 3 days at the end of August to the beginning of September. The site is in a good location and seemed very suitable for a get-together with friends. We became aware of the campsite through the reports on MDR. So we booked seven pitches by the water with several... families - the condition was that we wanted to stay together. The reservation was easy and very friendly! Some of us arrived on Thursday and set up. The reception was very friendly and we were able to go straight to the pitches right by the water - perfect! As soon as I had parked, a neighbor immediately came and told me not to let our dog poop on him. Everything here is full of dog poo. I replied good day and my dog doesn't poop anywhere - he does it outside and that's that. But I didn't understand his excitement until I saw green excrement everywhere on all our pitches, in the sand and on the playground. But it wasn't from dogs, it was from the swans and ducks running around on the pitch. Everything was really covered in droppings - even at a time when there was bird flu in the area. We had 6 children - including toddlers - with us and that is simply not acceptable. Nobody removed the droppings from the wild birds - we had to do it ourselves. It was the same for all the campers arriving. Next, someone from the campsite came and told us to remove the cars from the pitch. I asked why and got no answer - that's the way it is and that's that. Hello - such important information should be announced in advance when making a reservation. The driver's door of a car was also damaged in the campsite parking lot - a real bummer and the driver of the expensive and rare car was served. This would not have happened if he had been able to keep his car at the campsite, as is the case on every campsite. Then we put up a large pavilion - under which 20 people, including children, could sit. This again met with displeasure - only after discussions were we allowed to leave the pavilion standing. Once again, we were registered as a group - several families with children and two dogs on 7 contiguous pitches with a pavilion. Sanitary facilities: The sanitary building is quite new and modern. I find shower times of three minutes per booking outdated but good. The building was clean at first glance. This changed quite abruptly - cleaning is not the strength of the cleaning staff. The showers were partially swept and smelled very rotten. The shower heads were very calcified and to top it all off, brown water came out of the taps on Sunday. Toilets were sometimes not cleaned at all or only very sparsely. Let alone the tiles. Dirty tiles everywhere and mold in some of the joints. I spoke to the cleaning lady and was told to clean them myself - there was a cloth there. The mirrors were not cleaned at all during the 3 days. The only thing that helped was to close my eyes - but it was disgusting where it shouldn't be. A baker and a butcher come by and you can buy your things from the trolley. On weekends, two funny gentlemen come with their goulash cannon and offer soups - that's really very good. All in all, a site with potential and many weaknesses - something definitely needs to happen and first of all something needs to be done about the uncleanliness on the site and in the sanitary building. The site currently only scores points for its location. The operators are certainly willing, but there simply needs to be more control and quick changes in terms of cleanliness

Stayed there for three days with the caravan. Friendly, clean and endeavored to meet every guest's wishes. 500 meters to the restaurant which can only be recommended. Ideal for a short vacation. Gladly again.
