Very clean sanitary facilities. I was able to choose a pitch, the pitches are all very spacious and are shaded by old trees. But people who like more sun are also well catered for.
Very quiet ambience and even if I didn't need it (this time): there is a covered... terrace and a large lounge! Certainly good for the (cycle) hikers among us. The tent meadow also looked great. There is seating all over the site with a view of the Neckar.
In the village on the other side there are public transport connections and shopping facilities. About 25 minutes on foot.

We booked spontaneously on the way and were allowed to choose a pitch. Heidelberg is easy to reach from there. Either by public transport or boat (expensive) from Neckarstsinach or by car. You can park cheaply and centrally in Heidelberg in the Q -Park. At least... during the week.
The sanitary facilities have been renovated and are clean. There was a lounge with a pool table.

We hebben 1 dag voor aankomst geboekt; een ruime plek, onder bomen en een plek ver van iedereen af ivm de hond. We were received with great hospitality. Het was niet druk, dus we mochten zelf onze plek uitzoeken. We vonden een mooie, ruime plaats vlak bij het water. We had a... beautiful view.
Het was erg rustig. Het sanitair was zeer schoon. En de faciliteiten voor de camper waren netjes en hygiënisch. We zijn langer gebleven, wat ook mogelijk was. The owners are very friendly and helpful and you can tell that a lot has just been done (e.g. great, new sanitary facilities).
The area is great for hiking and cycling. We recommend, for example, the short... hike through the forest to the Dilsberg fortress.
The path over the nearby lock also makes it very easy to walk or cycle to the other side of the river to Nackarsteinach, where there are shops and restaurants.
Otherwise, you can relax with a book on the meadow by the river or watch the hustle and bustle on the river.

Dogs free of charge.NegatiivsedThe only thing I missed was a small kiosk where you could buy salad, fruit and vegetables. A small selection of sausages and grilled meat would also be good. Perhaps a refrigerated vending machine stocked by a regional butcher would be enough. I was there with a tent and an old dog and because of the heat I couldn't walk to a discount store.
