Comprehensible from the outside, but from the inside?OkayUnfortunately, we were allocated a pitch DIRECTLY next to a large gas tank and the toilet disposal area. A bit irritating for first-time visitors. They could have at least created a visual partition to the pitch here. Not nice when you're sitting (or eating) outside and have to listen to/smell the departing... guests rinsing cassettes (5-6 times a day). In addition, the gas tank is constantly beeping, very annoying!
The constant coming and going and moving to other free seats was noticeable. And the usual suspects who want to take a shortcut and traipse across the pitches. Families with four children and a giant inflatable boat walked past next to our table. But that's not the CP's fault...
The store is very poorly stocked, better to go shopping beforehand. Two types of bread rolls (wheat rolls and wheat squares with grains sprinkled on top = multigrain rolls) and the occasional croissant are available for breakfast. It was nothing for us. We didn't try the bread.

Due to the non-parceled pitches, people were constantly running across the pitch or racing over it on bicycles and Kettcars! Our nice neighbors played loud music all day long, and the barbecue was placed... 50 cm from our caravan window! Simply awful! In my opinion, the campsite operator MUST take better control and crack down!
We ended up breaking off our vacation early! The reception only said that they could understand that, but we didn't get a refund!

The site is generally in a clean and well-kept condition. Fortunately, we were lucky with our neighbors, because the pitches offer little to... no boundaries or planting that could provide cooling shade.
The campsite has a great playground, a bouncy cushion and a great swimming lake with a sufficiently large sandy beach. It is also good that the booking process and check-in can be done completely digitally, so that you can arrive directly at your pitch without hindrance.
We were massively disappointed that the campsite website offers the option of a late check-out and that this offer is also advertised as part of the booking confirmation with an additional PDF file attached. This offer states that you are welcome to contact the staff at reception. Although the comfort pitch we had booked was not occupied for the following night either, we were refused the late check-out option for an additional EUR 13. The reason given for this was that in the past, guests had wanted to use this option too often in connection with just one overnight stay, which is why this option was only available for stays of at least two nights. This information is not communicated on the website or in the booking process. The only alternative we had to be able to spend the great day with the children on the pitch until the early evening was to book an additional overnight stay for EUR 35.
From 8 o'clock in the morning, you can buy baked goods for breakfast in the store at reception. You can get everything there.Everything is wonderful!We spent a total of 6 days here with our family and motorhome and I can only agree with all the positive reviews. The bathing lake is relatively small and in the best weather totally overcrowded with bathers and SUP boarders....
Dogs are not allowed there.
The "dog beach" on offer turned out to be a "mud hole", a small pond for the dog.
We had our kayak with us and wanted to go to the Hüttensee, which was advertised. There was a place where we were allowed to moor and cast off, but there was an additional €8 charge.
Apart from the fact that the lake is a nature reserve and resembles a forest of signs, and you couldn't paddle properly because of the nature conservation zones.
The kiosk is poorly stocked, there was no fresh food, mini selection of cans, but drinks on mass.
The bread rolls on offer were a cheek, 1 simple "backshop" bread roll for 70ct, and some from the day before.
The restaurant at the bathing lake is expensive (Schnitzel "Jäger Art" with fries 19,90€), self-service from ordering to clearing and wiping the table, and for that you get frozen goods, no matter if schnitzel, pizza etc..
The entire campsite is fenced in!
You can only get onto the site with a QR code, whether on foot or by bike (your license plate number is registered to open the barrier, which is ok). We felt locked up, like in a reservation/ghetto.
A small gate at the registration desk serves as a passageway and with registration and additional bicycles there is hardly any room.
Fortunately, we had a quiet spot and didn't get "soaked" in the rain like some other campers.
Conclusion: The campsite may be ok for families with small children, but for couples and dog owners it is rather limited ok to not ok at all.

Regarding access by bike: The gate to the pitch is almost impossible for a single person with a bike, as the gate does not open independently and is also very difficult to push open. Tried 3 times, 3 times other guests had to help....

The annual appointments, with the always well-organized "specials" are a reason for us to come over just for an appointment. You always try to find a place, even in the season you move and push something, your friendliness, prudence, care of the place, the facilities, the sanitary buildings, is excellent... (we know other places, unfortunately not as great as yours).
The bathing area is family-friendly, everything in view, clean beach, short distances, for whatever, so in between.
Dog-friendly, good paths on the pitch and also all around, any activity is possible, or just relaxation, and attention is also paid to the observance of the midday rest/night rest.
In the meantime, friends and acquaintances from Thuringia are already coming to you on our recommendation, so keep it up, our annual vacation is always to HÜTTENSEE.
