Stayed there with the camper. The individual pitches are very spacious. Each one has electricity and water directly on the pitch. Thanks to the terraced site, everyone is virtually in the front row with a view of the lake. The sanitary facilities are also spacious and very... well looked after and maintained.
And even though we were travelling without children, there is plenty on offer for children, such as large playgrounds, a vacation program and walking distance to the lake.

The pitches are very nice and long, but have a lot of slope, which is not immediately noticeable, but is also not a point of criticism. Perhaps a tip... for customers to think about more wheel chocks or a large drive-on wedge would help here, mine was at the end and I still wasn't standing 100% straight.

The reception was very nice, despite the large number of campers (long weekend, public holiday). The pitches were large, with water, waste water and electricity directly at each pitch (at least in our row) and the terraced layout was just great. We... had a view of the lake and were thrilled. Our child (4 years old) could hardly get away from the playground. It is sanded and shady. There is a digger, slide, trampoline, cable car etc. The sanitary facilities were always clean and the showers were spacious enough to shower even with a small child. The cleaning staff were also always in a very good mood. The sunbathing lawn by the lake is rare in good weather and you have to get a spot early. Bread roll service is available and the rolls are really good (not soggy like you get at many places :-) ). We have nothing, really nothing at all to complain about and will definitely be back again soon.

I also found it a shame that dogs are not allowed on the beach. 😪

Clean and well-kept. Great opportunity to go to the dog meadow with the dog. This is fenced in and very large. The really clean, spacious sanitary facilities and the small camping store are particularly noteworthy, as is the friendly and courteous staff. We didn't find it a problem that there were ups and downs everywhere, that's just the way it is in the Sauerland.... What I did find a bit silly at one point was that I couldn't simply leave the site directly towards the lake (google maps showed a path), but I was standing in front of a locked gate. Without a lock. So not even a lock pick would have helped. And I didn't want to climb over it either, I'm getting too old for that sort of thing. The good thing is that there are no clever people passing through who can simply enter the site to steal caravans and motorhomes (but they would get stuck in Lüdenscheid). And the site is not cheap, but the prices are justified when you consider the work that goes into it. All in all, we will definitely come back when the A45 is passable again.
