Good choice
We had actually planned 3 days but ended up spending 6. The operators are very nice. Speaking some Italian or English is an advantage. The sanitary facilities are not too bad for Italy.

Wonderfully peaceful vacation
Camoing Pineta is the only place that is located directly on the town, at the end of the promenade to be precise. All restaurants/shops are therefore within easy walking distance. The site can also be easily accessed by large caravans. At the entrance there is a small, inexpensive bar with a view of the lake, which offers a bread roll service. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly.

We were guests at this site from 04.09. to 09.09.2014. After a friendly welcome from the owner, we were allowed to choose a pitch on the right-hand side. There were not many tourists on the site. The left-hand side is for permanent campers, the right-hand side for tourists. In addition to the small reception,... there is also a bar and a sanitary block. The restaurant next to the campsite is not part of it. The clean sanitary block offers basic comfort. Washbasin and sink outside with cold water. There are no individual washing cubicles. The showers have really hot water against Getoni. The hot water can be turned on and off with a switch, so that the approx. 3.5 minutes are easily enough for a shower. One Getoni = 50 cents. The toilet seats are a novelty. They fold up automatically when you get up and are sprayed with disinfectant. In the high season, the one sanitary block will not be enough. Unfortunately, the whole site has hardly any lighting. There are no lamps at all on the tourist pitches. But it is the only square on the outskirts of Bolsena town. The Piazza Centrale can be reached on foot in 5 minutes. Cross the residential road and you can take a dip in the lake. Despite the basic facilities, it is a quiet campsite in September for relaxing or going on cultural excursions to Rome (100 km, train from Orvieto for €7 per person) or Civita di Bagnoregio etc.. Knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage. Oh yes, the bread rolls have to be ordered the day before. We felt very comfortable.
