The campground’s location is excellent. The view, in particular, is sensational and is definitely one of the site’s greatest strengths. The fresh water hookups right at the campsites are also very convenient.

However, I don’t understand the advertised 5-star rating. While the restrooms weren’t heavily soiled, they certainly didn’t appear as clean and well-maintained as one would expect in this category. The design, with its abundance of white and cool gray tones, is also not very inviting and is more reminiscent of a utilitarian washroom. The campsites also didn’t make a particularly well-maintained impression. Weeds and untrimmed areas don’t, in my opinion, belong at a 5-star campground. The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all during our stay. The water stations are also poorly designed: when filling up, the water sprays so forcefully that your legs regularly get completely wet.

- Highly recommended - View of the Zugspitze massif - A quick bike ride to Grainau or Garmisch-Partenkirchen

none

Shopping directly opposite

Street too loud

Close to many sights. Great bus connection directly at the campsite. Supermarket 2 minutes away.

There were none for us

Peace and quiet Sufficient space 2 minutes walk to Edeka and Aldi

....

great location, very good facilities Quiet (our pitch was close to the entrance and the sanitary facilities) Garmisch Card incl.

Detail: the ground is too hard for pegs. Drill required. Local bus timetable is +/- 30 minutes and is overcrowded in high season.

The area and the landscape

The campsite

Location to hiking and biking highlights. Beautiful view. Supermarket nearby.

Staff unfriendly and inflexible. Ground with coarse and sharp gravel. Cleanliness of the sanitary facilities. Loud humming of the power substation. 5 star rating not comprehensible.

hm

unclean sanitary facilities Pitches with coarse gravel

The place was great - fresh water / gray water / the connections at the place - great view of the surroundings - staff at the reception was nice

Big annoyance were the sanitary facilities: mold in the showers - in the toilet wing was hardly cleaned or not at all - leftovers (unfortunately some guests are like that) were not removed by the cleaning staff - holders of the toilet brush completely dirty - floor cleaning does not seem to have been done - entrance carpets not vacuumed - the only trash can at the reception was not emptied for 3 days - dirt on the floor to the garbage station

great view of the Zugspitze, shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity, free use of the sauna and wellness area, short walk to Kneipp bathing, restaurant and bus stop nearby

Transformer station with loud humming, Expensive space

Location near the tourist attractions

- Transformer station - obstructed mountain view - poorly equipped private bathroom - very poor exercise facilities for dogs

The beautiful view and private bathroom

Not a nice facility for us with children

Sauna included, bath on request on site, very quiet, shopping on foot

Train hourly

Friendliness and helpfulness Wonderful location and view (even if the Zugspitze is somewhere else) Edeka directly in front of the door

"Microwave/gas oven" = microwave, no oven, and a gas fireplace Toothbrush marks from previous tenants (otherwise super clean!)

The central location The comfort The facilities

There is absolutely nothing to complain about!
