The restroom facilities were not clean.
A conveniently located stopover for a vacation in Brittany
We stayed at the campground for one night as a stopover on our trip to Brittany.
The sites are all very large and surrounded by beautiful trees. Access to the campground is good.

There is one sanitary building that’s getting a bit old and a new one. Neither was very clean during our stay.

There’s a small lake on the grounds. It’s perfect for a short evening stroll around it. The downside was the many mosquitoes, which also loved the water :-(

We are very pleased with our stay at the campground in Châlons-en-Champagne. The staff was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was peaceful, and the campsites were spacious. The campground is well-maintained and is in a great location for exploring the city and the Champagne region. Perfect both for an overnight stop on a road trip and for a few days’ stay. We’d love to come back!

Very dirty and old sanitary facilities, unkempt pitch, power connection outdated and only partially functional
An ageing square
We have been to many campsites, but have never seen such rotten and old sanitary facilities. Overall, the whole site is unkempt. On the day we left, the power went out in the morning, but nobody cared. There is a restaurant on site, the choice of food is ridiculous and the prices are overpriced. You... can buy baguettes and croissants in a bakery about 100 m away, but that's the only positive thing. We only used the site to stay overnight, but it's not good for anything else.

4 stars are not right... a good joke... of the 20 campsites we visited in France, this one was the most unkempt. The main building was just ok, the outbuilding had an ancient bathroom. Everything was very run down, barbed wire, no electricity for razors etc. The photos on Google are from better times... The iPommesbude food was ok but expensive compared to the interior... 1-2 stars ...

Neat place, 3km to the worth seeing city center
Approx. 40 min walk from the beautiful city center with great parks.
Quiet location.
Friendly reception.
Large, flat pitches, separated by hedges, gravel or meadow.
Sanitary old but tidy. Sufficiently clean. Water and electricity on the pitch.

Very quiet place; close to the city; friendly staff

In the heated sanitary area, wall work would be necessary, in the "cold" exterior doors to be able to shower at low temperatures.
Pure relaxation
We were satisfied with the site during the four days of our stay. Large pitches with water and electricity nearby. Baguettes and croissants available to order in advance. Only the otherwise well-kept shower rooms should be improved. With an outside temperature of 12 degrees, outside doors would be an... improvement. The plaster in the heated showers is peeling. So something should be done here too. The place is definitely suitable for visiting champagne tastings in Epernay and the surrounding area, visiting cultural monuments or simply relaxing. The friendly staff at reception spoke English, French and some German and were happy to help.

Poor sanitary facilities
This place does not even deserve 2 stars due to its unkempt and outdated sanitary facilities. Anyone who chooses a pitch with 4 stars should expect more. The place is located in the middle of a residential area and is not easy to find without navigation. The streets around it were also closely parked. There was also a snack bar on the pitch, but I wouldn't have bought anything here. The reception was friendly.

Outdated and not very clean sanitary facilities, pothole road on the way to the right side of the pitch, unkempt and expensive
Surprise!
I stayed at this campsite for 2 weeks after 9 years. The staff were very friendly, but the sanitary facilities were desolate and outdated, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired, the hedges were only partially cut. If you like cobwebs and black areas in the sanitary facilities, this is the place for... you. The site is purely a transit site for English people and therefore very busy. Vacation campers are out of place here. One area of the site is used as a truck parking area. I have stayed on many 2-star pitches, but they were pure luxury liners. As a 4-star campsite, this site in no way meets the expectations placed on it. If you only want to make money, you have to invest in renovation work! A longer vacation on this site is not recommended despite the beautiful surroundings!

We only used the site for one overnight stay as a transit site. The site is well maintained and makes a very good impression. The site is centrally located, so anyone who wants to can visit Châlons on foot. The pitches are very well dimensioned. There are special pitches for motorhomes. The only drawback... is the age of the sanitary facilities. Even if everything is clean, they are in urgent need of renovation. There is a notice in the showers that says you have to let the water run for !!! 5min!!!! to get warm water. No problem for a short stay, we would look for something else for a longer stay.
