I find it a drawback that there’s no pricing based on the number... of people, since I always feel like I’m paying for someone who isn’t even there. The noise rumbles up all night long. It’s bearable with the RV windows closed. Sleeping in a tent is unbearable. Even with earplugs, you can still hear the noise.Excessive car noiseIf you're traveling in a motorhome or trailer and sleeping inside the vehicle, then the campsite is fine. When you cross the street opposite the camping (where the gasstation is), you can cycle along the Donau. There you find beaches and bars within a couple of kilometers. You can also cross the pedestrian/cycle bridge to go to Donau island or cycle further into Vienna. It is about 25 minutes cycling from the camping to the middle of city centre. Other than that, the campground has few positive aspects. I quickly got used to the highway noise that was clearly noticeable on the first evening.
In terms of accessibility, it was ok for "pedestrians" on the way there, as the bus to the subway is easy to reach; on the way back it was more complicated to take the bus to the campsite...this was easier at Hüttelberg. Despite the proximity... to the highway, the site is reasonably quiet. The site has everything you need (even some cooking facilities and an open fridge to keep things cold if you're only traveling with your tent and bike). The showers and toilets are clean and there are plenty of them. Thanks to online booking and payment in advance, everything was uncomplicated on site.
