We wanted to stay for one night on the spur of the moment and arrived around 1:00 p.m. The owner put us off, saying we could try again at 7 p.m.—with any luck, something might be available then. When we parked to go for a swim in the meantime, the owner immediately... came after us on his bike and asked in a rude tone, “What’s going on here?” When we replied that we were just parking, like the other 200 cars, he simply said, “Oh, well, that’s fine then,” and rode off. We all looked at each other questioningly, towels under our arms! A completely strange and inappropriate reaction in front of our children. At the lake entrance, we then found out that we’d first have to pay the full daily admission fee and would be charged the full overnight rate again starting at 7 p.m.Neither friendly, nor customer-oriented, nor explanatory—this whole spectacle put on by the man on the bike was just plain unpleasant. Everything on the site is very clean and well-kept, and the owners are very helpful.
The site is dominated by permanent campers. The tourist pitches are not parceled out, the path... to the sanitary facilities is long. You need long power cables.
The site would not be suitable for a longer stay, although the sanitary facilities are well maintained. Showers only with a token, but are sufficient and hot.

It was very nice, the lake is super clean and nice and warm.
The operators were very nice and always ready to help.
The restaurant on site is also great. We were on the site with a larger group and managed to get a table.
The pitches are unparceled and very nice. There are also some right by the lake, but only without dogs.

I can confirm the good reviews, super organization, everything very friendly, good and clean sanitary, working bread service with high quality products. It was all good. Nevertheless, we won't be back... because we found the cramped conditions very uncomfortable. It felt like every little bit of grass was covered with a camping vehicle, tent or furniture. The short vacationer place is well maintained and clean.
However, the toilets could be cleaned twice a day. The cleanliness of the toilet facilities is probably not important to the many permanent campers. Staff in the Ristorante Tipptop, also super nice... and child-friendly. The food was also very tasty. A small minus is the spaghetti carbonara dish, which is more of a cooked ham and cream sauce, very greasy and thick.

Pitches are well sized for a 7m caravan with awning.
Power connection is easily accessible. Fast WLAN can be booked at a reasonable... price.
Shower and washing facilities very clean. Bread roll service at the weekend works great.
The bathing lake is nice and clear and invites you to swim.
Plenty of space to lie on the well-kept lawn by the lake and a clear separation of the pitches from the bathing day guests, who are of course present in large numbers when the weather is nice.

What bothered us over Ascension Day was that it felt like everyone who wanted a pitch was allowed onto the pitch. This made the site seem almost overcrowded. The situation gradually eased from Friday onwards. Otherwise, the site... is in a great location for tours to Bremen. The operators are very friendly and helpful, bread rolls can be ordered and then picked up at the entrance to the site between 8 and 10 am. Sanitary facilities were always clean, but unheated and you had to buy tokens to shower. The pitches are not parceled out, but the manager always finds a nice pitch of a suitable size for his guests and their camping vehicle. You... are even personally accompanied to the pitch. A super warm welcome and support from the authentically friendly operators. The lake is a dream and ideal for children/non-swimmers, with a Caribbean sandy beach and shallow shore area. The sanitary facilities are very clean, but could be a few more when the site is full. Nice playground with 2 large trampolines, which will be extended again in fall 2023. The on-site restaurant offers everything you could wish for, at fair prices and in good quality. Great view over the lake from the beer garden. Bremen and Bremerhaven are nearby as excursion destinations, and the North Sea is also not far away. Much too good for a one-night stopover.
