Camping Tikayan La Pinatelle Ülevaated

We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of this intimate campground, the warm welcome, the prompt response to any issues, and the activities. The chalet was clean and well-maintained. The air conditioning was a nice bonus. There are plenty of hikes to go on in the surrounding area, villages to visit, and water-based activities (aquarando, rafting, canyoning...). You’ll need to plan ahead for groceries, since the nearest supermarket is a bit far away—but that’s the price you pay for being away from the tourist crowds.

The setting is beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. The mobile home is clean and spacious (plenty of storage space). A quiet and relaxing place.

The reason we stayed at the campground was because we were on a motorcycle trip in that region, and it was practically the only place in the area where we could camp. One positive aspect was that the staff was willing to check us in very late (around 7:30 p.m.) due to some delays we encountered on our motorcycle trip. The price was also reasonable.

- There didn't seem to be any restrooms, and we were convinced there weren't any. The staff didn't tell us that there were some temporary restrooms. - Prices at the snack bar were not transparent. The total for two people sharing a pizza and one orange juice was 34 euros. The price of a single pizza was 11 euros. I don’t understand how the total came to 34 euros. I asked the staff, and they told me that’s the price the computer showed, without giving any further explanation. The pizzas were of poor quality and appeared to be frozen items that had been reheated. - The campsite where we were supposed to set up our tent had dog feces on it.

The setting is beautiful, and it offers good value for the price. The pool with a view of the mountains is exceptional.

The biggest drawback is that the restroom facilities have apparently been out of service since 2025, which is unacceptable for a company that owns several campgrounds. The mobile home provided to campers as a temporary solution is a bit basic.

The place is beautiful and very quiet; there's a pool.

According to a sign, the restrooms are “under renovation.” The accessible shower is usable. The toilets and sinks were not cleaned during our 2-day stay. If you’re staying in a RV during July/August, you cannot empty your chemical toilet or discharge gray water. There are many mobile homes with permanent residents, and lots of dogs roaming freely all over the campground. Renting a mobile home is fine, but I wouldn’t recommend staying in a campervan—it’s a shame because the location is absolutely beautiful.

The campground was practically abandoned—the accommodations were dangerous and dirty, the shower was broken, and it smelled like mold... We had booked a stay from August 16 to 23, but we left on August 19 because it was so terrible...

The simplicity of the campground and its location

There's a lot of maintenance work that needs to be done throughout the campground, especially in the restrooms—that's the basics! Plus, there was no hot water during the two days of my stay. The playground equipment is broken... needs to be addressed.

The campground is pretty nice, but the facilities are completely unsanitary—especially the restrooms. For over five years, online reviewers have been posting terrible reviews about the restrooms, which are supposedly undergoing renovations—but they’re filthy, poorly maintained, run-down, and had cold water the entire time we were there. This campground feels more like a year-round residence for the owners, with bungalows from the 1980s.

I have nothing to say because no comments are taken into account. I strongly advise against this campground, and given its condition, I’d advise against your chain’s other locations as well.

A very beautiful place. A charming, reasonably sized campground.

The mobile home was very uncomfortable. The tourist tax is excessive—and they even charge it for babies under one year old!

Nice setting.

But otherwise, I was very disappointed. The bathrooms were very run-down (currently being renovated), but the toilets, showers, and sink area wouldn't close properly because the screws on the locks were loose, and they were really dirty. There was no hot water at the sink. We won't be coming back.

In the showers, the paint is peeling off badly, and the locks on the showers and toilets don't work. The pool water is very cloudy, and the water in the footbath is very dirty. The pool shower is about to fall apart and is leaking everywhere. Tenants drive very fast on the path, kicking up dust everywhere. The campsites aren’t marked off. There’s no gate at the entrance to secure the campground.

A very old mobile home—barely usable... even though the price was low, it shouldn't be rented out in this condition! The service was also lacking, though one of the two staff members was pleasant. No inventory check—neither upon arrival nor upon departure?! The pool was the size of a private one, so everyone was crammed together.

The Setting, Nature

The hospitality and friendliness of the managers… a smile and a “hello” don’t cost a thing. The food service needs to be improved because the food truck offers kebabs one night and pizza the next (neither of which are great and both are expensive); we had to take the car to eat somewhere else. The restrooms have been in this condition for years—a bit of neglect when it comes to campers staying in tents, perhaps because they prioritize renting out mobile homes! A tourist trap under the pretext of being the only campground in Saint Auban…

The location is beautiful, with a view of the cliffs. The pool is clean and the water is warm.

We’ve been promised a lot of things for the future: - Renovated restrooms next year (no separate men’s and women’s sections, hot water only after letting the water run for 5 minutes...) - Nothing for breakfast except coffee (empty grocery shelves, broken oven) - A food truck serving a single dish that alternates between kebabs and pizzas. - A lot of noise (a dog barking almost constantly, campers not respecting the quiet hours at 11 p.m., church bells ringing twice every hour, day and night, plus every half-hour).
