The pizzas from the adjacent restaurant were also very tasty. We felt very comfortable on this campsite.

Depending on the location of the pitch (we were in the bottom row of pitches) no noise pollution from the trains) very nice view of the sea and the offshore islands. We stayed at this highly recommended campsite in April 2017. You can't get a pitch on the top "floor" without a reservation. When we arrived, we were told that all the pitches on the top floor were reserved for two groups. Strangely enough, a German WW... driver still managed to get a place. I therefore interpret the allocation of pitches as arbitrary. However, we found a very nice spot on a lower floor, right next to the swimming pool. The staff are very friendly and service-oriented. Pitches are not parceled out. We were able to position ourselves as we wanted at the beginning of October. There was plenty of space. The sanitary facilities are no longer the newest, but mostly clean. You could shower for as long as you wanted,... there was always warm to hot water. The water was also really hot when washing up. The negative comments from others about the wild cats were just the opposite. We really enjoyed the very different cats. There were no cat cries while we were there. The railroad line, which runs through the middle of the campsite - albeit far below - can hardly be heard. Absolutely no disturbance from it. There are steps and a path down to the stony/rocky beach. The bay is very beautiful, but rocky. We didn't use the beautiful seawater pool. The small town of Avola is ideal for relaxing and is not touristy. Wonderfully quiet and tranquil. You can get everything you need in the local supermarkets. The location of the campsite is ideal for a visit to the beautiful town of Cefalu. Palermo is about 80 km away. From there we took the ferry to Genoa. We recommend a trip to the small town of Pollina, 900 m above sea level. You will be rewarded with a fantastic view. The operators are very friendly and helpful. Great view of the sea, excellent restaurant, bread roll service. New and very clean sanitary... facilities. Very friendly and helpful host family (multilingual). Town with supermarkets is 1km to the east.
