Better spend money on a hotel. Wasted our holidays on a very poorly run site. Hygiene very bad

RV campground nonexistent, we were parked in a dump-like field with no bathrooms just garbage.

Caravans and Relaxation
Until May the biggest problem at the campground was electricity, because the system was based only on electric generators and it was very complicated to keep it running in a medium-sized facility. Fortunately, since the end of May, thanks to ENI Malta now the campsite enjoys an electrical connection... and is therefore upgraded, because in case of malfunction of the latter it can use the old electrical system based on generators so that it is also self-sufficient. The camp is in the midst of nature, for those who love relaxation and tranquility, in the northernmost part of the island of Malta, very close to the terminal for Gozo and Comino, but far (relatively because Malta is a small island and in 3-4 hours by car can be covered entirely, also is equipped with a good public transport service) from mass tourism and commercial ( Sliema, St. Julian, Valletta). Owning or renting a car, however, the problem does not arise because you can get both ( quiet life and healthy fun by reaching the other part of the island quickly in an hour).

We were there in September 2012, no idea why we didn't choose the other campsite in Malta. This is a site for local permanent campers. There are no proper tent areas, you are placed between the motorhomes. At the weekend, the locals usually party late into the night and you are woken up by bird hunters... in the morning. Shower water gets warm (with luck) after 20 minutes, the toilets were okay but not the best, they are cleaned every few days. The resident cats are very sweet but wanted to rip open our tent to get at the food. The rentable tents are unhygienic, the sleeping facilities unacceptable. The kiosk has a few drinks, charcoal and a few cans of vegetables, and that's it. The swimming pool is a small pool that was unfortunately already empty when we arrived. Like almost everywhere else in Malta, there is no sandy beach. We felt unwelcome as foreigners. The campsite is also far away from everything and the nearest town is over an hour and a half's walk away. Absolutely overpriced for what you are expected to pay. An absolute no-go for people who want to relax. We hired a car and drove across the country to spend as little time as possible at the campsite.

many of the things listed for the campsite in malta are completely untrue. Separate pitches for young people/groups Yes - actaully NO THERE ISN'T Prices start at 30.00 per night not 25.00 Internet terminal (on the site itself) NOT SO Snack food outlets (on the site itself) NO FOOD OTHER THAN FROM THE... MINI MARKET NO COOKED FOODS AVAILABLE Washing machine WE COULDN'T FIND ANY LAUNDRY Apartments or rooms THERE AREN'T ANY!!!!!! This place should be avoided at all cost.
