Sanitary facilities large, modern and clean.Automaticky přeloženo. - Anja E.duben 2025PitySince my childhood (about 35 years) I have been visiting the Zillertal and since I was able to travel independently with a tent or caravan I have visited the various campsites in the Zillertal (25 years). Camping Hell was one of my personal favorites for many years, both in summer and in spring. Unfortunately,... I can no longer confirm this. The site is still very nice, the people friendly, the restaurant good, but the price - quality ratio is extreme.
Although the sanitary facilities look very nice, we can't understand why a shower has been installed with a plastic shower hose that doesn't move, which is why you can't stand under the water jet because the plastic hose twists the water head. Then when I press the shower button you get a second of ice cold water before it gets to the warm temperature we had chosen. Why do you invest in a new wash house and spend money on a very luxurious campsite but still have to depend on a push button (cheap and old fashioned)? If this is supposed to mean environmental friendliness then surely there are more user-friendly and modern solutions such as a motion sensor in the shower?
All the things I'm about to mention are normally minor drawbacks for me on a campsite. However, when we visited their campsite in the off-season (everything is closed in the valley), they simply dared to ask for €100 per night. When we asked at reception they said that the outdoor pool had not yet been cleaned and therefore could not be used at all, even when it was supposed to be 25 degrees or more during the week.
Then we drove on to Lake Garda. There we found several campsites on the lake shore with perfect sanitary facilities with rain shower with self-adjustable water needs (length and temperature), heated outdoor pools with several children's slides, rapids and kiosk, restaurants, a playground and much more. And all this for €52,- per night for our family.
Then we drove back to the Zillertal on the way back and had the option of staying either at Hofer or bij Aufenfeld. There we knew that the showers might not be as fashionable as their Washhaus but certainly more modern and better equipped than their place and for less money. For about €70,- we had a place there.
I am very sorry to have to write this here. We are entrepreneurs ourselves and are always happy when our customers express their complaints, ideas and concerns. That is why I am writing this. I understand that all investments have to be earned back and you simply have the luxury that there are only 4 campsites in the valley and that the valley is now almost constantly flooded with tourists. So I don't think this news will change much. Nevertheless, I have heard from friends and families that the price-quality ratio of their campsite is a reason to visit other campsites that look a little less beautiful than theirs.Automaticky přeloženo. - Andreas B.duben 2025Always a pleasure!We have been guests of the Hell family & team several times - as always, it was great!
