Consumption is only permitted there. A piece of cake after 14:00 or a portion of chips for the children to take away in the evening is unfortunately not possible. The bread rolls in the morning are also a gamble. The already limited selection is not available every day. However, the neighboring campsite provides a remedy here.Very nice, well-kept placeThe campsite is a very well-kept and clean campsite. The groundskeepers and cleaning staff always make sure that there is no garbage lying around and that the wash houses are always clean. If there is ever a problem, this is rectified immediately.

We were guests there twice and were very satisfied with the ambience, the food and the friendliness of the service. Tourist tax is not payable. The direct access to the beach without stairs is also very nice.
The way to Grömitz is possible on the beach, about 35 minutes or by bike. Unfortunately you have to cycle a bit on the main road.

You can go on wonderful bike tours or hikes from here. Our own restaurant, Breeze, opened in our last week. Chic interior with terrace.NegativaShowering with a chip card is a bit "restless", as you have to jump out quite quickly so that you don't get poor from showering 😀. The motion detector in the wash house is not on long enough, so you always have to jump naked into the corridor! The menu in the restaurant was still very "clear" and not so "suitable for camping". If you want to go to Grömitz by bike, you have to ride on the Bundesstr. 501 without a bike path. As an alternative, there is only a detour of 4 km, which is great to ride, or you squeeze illegally through a barrier on the neighboring campsite. It is very pleasant that there are sufficient dispensers for dog bags and therefore also disposal facilities for dog waste. It was only a few days in June. We liked it so much that we decided to spend our next vacation there completely. And it won't be the last time. It's a really nice campsite, you only have to turn around twice before you're right on the beach and can take lovely... walks in both directions. The restaurant right next to the campsite is currently under construction and is due to open next season. The "Land & Meer" restaurant on the neighboring Walkyrien campsite is highly recommended.
Grömitz is a nice little town that is not as crowded as Timmendorfer Strand. There are also nice excursion destinations within a radius of 60km. Wild beach (dog beach)NegativaRestaurant was closed due to new construction, but it should be finished at some pointTop spot a little off the expensive promenadeI was only there briefly, but the campsite is in a great location on the coast with a view of the sea and the beach is really beautiful. It's not a typical bathing beach, more of a wild beach with small cliffs and rugged charm. It is only a few meters from the pitch to the sea, the place is in very good... condition and you can see that it is constantly maintained. There is a motorhome-only site in the neighborhood that I actually wanted to go to, but unfortunately it was full. However, the campsite itself has a very nice ambience despite the many "permanently installed" caravans. The walk to the beach is short and the view is wonderful. The organization was great. The showers cost extra (everything is recorded and billed using a site card, you don't need change) but, like the washrooms, they are spotlessly clean and well maintained.
The café/restaurant at the entrance to the beach was a large building site and not in operation. However, it is to be hoped that it will be finished soon.

This is often the case and as a camper with a shorter stay you have little chance of getting a pitch there. However, as the pitches are the same as those on the adjacent campsite, we went there for 4 days. Nice pitches, but all with a grass area that has rotted away over the summer due to the awning campers, leaving an area of ground that gets very muddy when wet. The dirt is then trodden into the very nice sanitary facilities, which makes the overall appearance look very unsightly.All in all, a highly recommended campsite on the Baltic Sea coastA very nice, owner-managed facility, with a good price-performance ratio.
It's a shame that you can't get the motorhome area for shorter stays, as reservations always have priority.
