Dear management
I have been a happy visitor to the campsite for many years.
I love the campsite, so I am happy to advertise for you and my picture of your beer garden has now reached thousands of viewers.
So far, everything has been fine for the last 15 years.
Unfortunately, something... has changed and that is the reason I am writing to you today.
Up to now, I have always received a very friendly welcome at the bar, the atmosphere was good, after all, you are on vacation and have time.
Unfortunately, since the arrival of one of your new employees, Ms. Lenhard, this has changed for the worse.
But there is another reason for my letter:
I had said when I arrived that I would be leaving on Friday OR Saturday. The lady on the right, with whom I and everyone else get on well, confirmed this and said that pitch 105 is free until Saturday. I could think about it and should let her know on Friday.
So far everything is perfect!
Imagine how surprised I was when Mrs. Lenhard called me this morning (I had just been cycling in Austria!) and told me in an administrative tone that I had to be long gone. The new customers were at the door.
Mrs. Lenhard also told me that it was now 11:46 and that I should have been gone for 46 minutes.
I might have to pay for the day because of the 46 minutes.
Then the sound in the barracks yard: When would I leave the place?
I tried to explain to her several times that I was surprised, but at her drastic tone, because of my offense, I would try to drive back quickly. (With the bike from Austria...)
Once here, I packed my things in a flying hurry and left the campsite in a hurry.
At reception, Mrs. Lenhard's lecture continued.
My words, that I thought it would be possible to stay until Saturday, were dismissed in the same way as before in Austria.
I didn't want an argument, so I politely apologized and explained that it was my fault.
But just imagine:
When Mrs. Lenhard looked at her computer, she "discovered" that the new tenants weren't coming until Saturday!
So it was all superfluous:
The phone call, the impolite tone, the abortion of my daily schedule, the hasty return trip by bike, the hasty departure!
- You don't need to expect that I at least received an apology...
But it went on incredibly:
Mrs. Lenhard then told me that I could go back to the site and set everything up again!
- Hello?
You can probably imagine that I politely, but very angrily, replied in the negative.
I then took the liberty of saying that Mrs. Lenhard certainly had many skills, but this one at the counter was certainly not one of them.
Mrs. Lenhard then reprimanded me: I shouldn't be impertinent.
- So the ability to take criticism is not one of her skills either.
- Just as little as customer friendliness or using a computer: "Scrolling is not for everyone..."
Perhaps Ms. Lenhard would be better placed in accounting. Or in the tax office, enforcement department. I think she could be happy there. Although I've experienced friendlier people there myself!
Unfortunately, the drama is not over yet:
When I checked my bill, I realized that I was apparently standing at the counter as a double:
Mrs. Lenhard charged me 2 x pitch, 2 x personal fee, 2 x tourist tax for pitch 105.
Again, she had problems with the computer and with communication (you could have asked) ....
Please take note of this.
And for a credit note for the excess amount paid.
I'll come back anyway, but I'll choose the other counter on the right. Without Mrs. Lenhard.

This year (5th consecutive visit since 2014), however, there were some minor negative observations regarding the infrastructure. For example, a defect in the service column at our pitch was only rectified after 12 days. The sophisticated sanitary... facilities with the extra-large showers are impressive. Good and friendly service (e.g. bakery rolls, vacation information, cleanliness in the sanitary area). High level of competence and friendliness at reception. Guest clientele mainly couples and senior citizens; high proportion of motorhomes. The location to Therme Eins and the town center is excellent. Spa bus or bike are ideal; the car can be left behind. Cycling in general, even without an e-bike, on the signposted cycle path network is ideal. The "Seinerzeit" beer garden offers light meals and drinks on open days.
The physiotherapy practice on the square is ideal for spa treatments and has friendly and competent staff. Our experience was very good and the appointments were kept perfectly. It would have been even more ideal for us if the treatments for two people had run at the same time.
