On the road to Norway by motorcycle
Located directly on the route, but the site is very quiet. A little paradise. Small family-run site, but with lots to offer. Own beach and boat facilities. Pitches, romantic cottages, barrels, apartments and a very nice campsite. What is very special about this place is that there are no mosquitoes !!!... It is a power place. I only wanted to stay one night and enjoyed another day. Cycled around the lake on the rented bike and just let the lake dangle.

Friendly, family-friendly CP
CP is quiet, with lake view. Small sandy beach invites you to linger. Pedalo, boat and canoe can be hired.
Super suitable for cycling, even with children. Bikes for big and small can also be hired, including bike trailers for small children.
The sanitary facilities are clean and you don't have to pay extra for a shower.
I can only recommend this campsite.

The location directly on the lake is fantastic. The surrounding area is ideal for cycling and boating. The town is very close and shopping facilities and cafés can be reached by bike. The beach and playground are great for children. The campsite is small, well laid out, clean and very friendly staff and owner.

The road right next to the campsite was sometimes a bit annoying.
Pure relaxation in nature!!!
The campsite is run with love. There are lovely little cabins, pitches and all the necessary services. The site is clean and inviting. The playground and beach are lovely.

2 nights, August 2023
A small, personally managed campsite right on the lake. Some of the pitches have a view of the lake, which is also attractive in rainy weather. Endless leisure opportunities: Cycling and walking tours on a former railroad line with great views of the lake, swimming on the private beach, pedal and rowing boat trips. And best of all: impressive sunsets.

Beautiful vacation spot by the lake
Lovely little place by the lake. Short distances to the water and to the cycling and hiking trail. Good starting point for day trips to Jönköpingen (45 min.) and Gothenburg (60 min.).
Ideal for paddling and swimming. The site is well maintained and the pitches are large enough with electricity and water.... The sanitary building is also well cleaned.
Behind the pitch we walked with our dog directly over the hiking trail into the forest.
Nice operator couple for this small site (50 to 60 pitches). The restaurant offers two inexpensive dishes at lunchtime. Very nice service, the food was rather simple. Rather cheap for Sweden.
It is also not far to the town. It can be reached on foot and by canoe.
All in all a very nice stay.

Next time again for sure! Personal, friendly, clean!
We spent 3 days with the caravan at Camping Skotteksgarden at the end of August 2018. First impression: Friendly German-speaking receptionist at the reception. Uncomplicated check-in procedure. Clean and comfortable sanitary facilities. The sense of creativity and personal commitment is evident everywhere.... The biggest surprise was the great help we received from Ms. Johanna Ellinger with a personal request. She spared no effort to help us until we were successful in our endeavor! Thank you very much!

Great campsite right on a large lake
We spent 6 days at this campsite. The site is beautifully situated directly on a great cycle path. An Eldorado for cyclists and roller skiers. Great training opportunities for cross-country skiers. The beautiful beach is just a few minutes' walk away. Very nice owner couple from Austria. We always got great tips for excursions in the area. Our children also loved the great playground. We would love to come back.

A pleasant stay
We stayed at this campsite for 4 nights, which is probably a lot for this campsite. We had the impression that the site was mostly used for 1-2 nights. The playground is really nice and our children fell in love with the ground chess. The bathing lake is also quite nice, located on the other side of... the road. The pitch itself had electricity, was nice and big, and water was close by. The sanitary facilities are designed like a bathroom at home. This was very pleasant and although the pitch was full, we always got a free bathroom. However, it has to be said that some of them are a bit outdated and some places were hardly cleaned (e.g. ledges). But the toilet and shower were always clean. There is a large ICA in the village for shopping and many other shopping facilities. The operators were friendly and helpful, if a little full of themselves :-). Overall we had a lovely time and would come back for a short stay.

beautiful campsite in the Gothenburg area
We went to the campsite on the way to Gothenburg as there was nothing available around Jönköping. It was very full and so we were accommodated on an emergency pitch. It was great that it worked out. However, these were right on the road and without electricity so not suitable for the little ones. The... very friendly owner couple are from Austria and the next day the boss gave us one of 3 beautifully situated pitches right on the lake. No electricity but a great view of the lake. We felt very comfortable. Thank you very much.

Shower-toilet combinations Showers and toilets together in one building (kitchen/sinks as anteroom for toilets)
Nice and beautifully situated place with small flaws
We spent our vacation on this site in August. The site is beautifully situated on Lake Asunden and on the outskirts of the small town of Ulricehamn. The site is relatively small and manageable, but the pitches themselves are nice and large and separated by shrubs. Water, waste water and electricity are... available at each pitch. There is a nice playground on the site. The jetty (where the sauna barrel is also located) and the beach are just a few minutes' walk away. Motorboats and rowing boats can be hired from the campsite. The sanitary facilities are located in four different places on the site and are all suboptimally designed. In most cases, the shower and toilet are combined, or at least there is no shower that does not also have an integrated toilet. Another negative point is that the shower-toilet combinations in the "main wash house" are combined with the kitchen (washing up and cooking facilities). I don't want to go into detail about any unpleasant smells during washing up or cooking. During our stay, the sanitary facilities were mostly in a good state of cleanliness, although the performance of the cleaning lady could still be improved. A country road runs next to the campsite, which can be heard on (almost) all pitches, but was never disturbing or negative. The Austrian owners and the German-speaking staff at reception were available at all times, but could perhaps be a little more helpful (e.g. with questions about leisure activities etc.). There are many possibilities for day trips from the campsite. During our stay, the campsite was always quite busy. It was noticeable that most guests only stayed a few nights (frequent comings and goings). However, we didn't find this annoying! All in all, the campsite is highly recommended and we will definitely be back on our next vacation in Sweden.

Hello Tobi,
We are very pleased that you were our guests this summer and would like to come back again.
Thank you also for your open criticism.
You may not have noticed, but there is a completely new kitchen at the campsite with the most modern equipment, a large terrace with dining groups, as well as... new showers and toilets, and there are also 2 new washing-up areas.
As far as cleanliness is concerned, we really try very hard and get the best feedback from our guests.
On your next visit to Skottek, I hope that you will come to us with your questions about leisure activities, then we will certainly inform you in the best possible way. If time permits, we enjoy providing our guests with insider tips. We are sorry if you have just been in reception at a stressful time when we simply have to cut back.
In any case, we are already looking forward to seeing you next summer and thank you again for your honest comment.

See you soon in Skottek:-) according to the motto "talking brings people together".

A modernization of the sanitary facilities is appropriate. But is basically ok and clean.
Basically o.k.
The CP is basically ok. However, the through road is clearly audible. We had a SP without electricity a bit away from the road, which was ok. The pitches with electricity are a bit cramped. Friendly staff, the sanitary facilities are old but clean. You can easily get to the nice little town by bike. For 1 night it was ok for us, we could hardly imagine a longer stay. Overall rather positive.

Hello Mr. Biesel!

Thank you for your stay.
The through road is a private road for the residents of the lake and the guests of the beach. When the weather is nice, the beach is of course busy, but in the evening it is quiet as the beach is then closed. Our pitches are 10m long and 10m wide, which is... quite generous compared to other pitches in Sweden. Each pitch has a fixed part and a large grass area. There is also a fresh water tap and a gray water drain at each power point.
Since 2018, we have had a beautiful new service building in operation with a modern kitchen and bathrooms with shower and toilet, and a further extension is already being planned.
Come and visit us again and enjoy the lake and the beautiful surroundings.
Best regards.

Nice stopover
The pitches run parallel to each other in rows and the location is used as a starting point for activities or rather as a transit point. The operators are very helpful and friendly. There are walking paths, hiking trails and restaurants around the site. Shopping facilities are approx. 2km away. With paddle equipment, the path across the campsite/road/beach is not everyone's cup of tea.

Quaint little campsite
We were here in summer 2017 and felt very comfortable. The campsite is run by German-speaking owners and perhaps that's why we also met many German-speaking guests here, which was an advantage for our children as they quickly found play partners. The children's playground is very nice and lovingly designed,... ideal for children up to the age of 12. There is a bathing area with a jetty within walking distance of the campsite, and you can also hire boats or pedalos.

WC, shower and washbasin in one room, unclean sanitary facilities, not very friendly or customer-oriented
Beautifully situated small square with restrictions
We stayed at the campsite in July 2017 as part of our short trip to Sweden. The site is in a very nice location, not far from the highway and right on Lake Asunden. The site is relatively small, which makes it very pleasant. The pitches have electricity and water at regular intervals and are surrounded... by lots of redcurrant bushes, which were also bearing fruit at the time :-) There is also a lovely playground integrated into the site, which our children naturally discovered straight away. There is also a very nice beach with sunbathing area and volleyball court in the immediate vicinity (approx. 600m). There is also a jetty where you can hire a motorboat and a rowing boat from the campsite. There is also a sauna barrel right next to the lake. These were the positive things. On the negative side, the sanitary facilities are unfortunate in our opinion and also left a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Unfortunate because the toilet, shower and washbasin are always in the same room and you can imagine that after a toilet session the next shower guest will be delighted. Everything also looked a bit tinkered with and we affectionately called the Austrian owner "Bob the Builder". It all looked piecemeal and not really well thought out. Functionally, however, it was fine. The two Austrian ladies at reception were also not really customer-oriented, but seemed annoyed in some cases or made you wait a very long time for a simple request without a glance. The Swedish mentality was completely missing here. Nevertheless, the site is recommended due to its beautiful location, but not for longer stays.

Hello dear Hocke family!

Thank you for visiting our campsite.
We are pleased that you had a nice stay.
Regarding your comments: our bathrooms are designed as family bathrooms, so most bathrooms have a shower and toilet. However, there is also the classic version with separate showers and toilets in... our rose building. There are also 2 completely separate toilets at the reception. So every guest is free to use whatever he or she feels comfortable with - it's certainly a matter of taste, but 90% of the feedback is positive. As far as cleanliness is concerned - we naturally try our best to keep everything clean and tidy and therefore clean and check at intervals throughout the day. With a high occupancy rate, it can't look spotless at all times of the day and night. Unfortunately, guests who don't care that others want to use the facilities also contribute to this. However, we will intensify our efforts. Without exception, all our staff are very customer-oriented and always strive to ensure the well-being of our guests. Waiting times at reception are extremely rare, we are on site 12 hours a day and available 24 hours a day. If it happens that we don't jump up immediately or come running when a guest is at reception, there is an important reason for this. It is precisely because of our positive service attitude and the location and facilities that we have many regular guests and guests who spend their entire vacation here.
Best wishes from Ulricehamn and a wonderful rest of the summer from the whole Skottek team

Sanitary facilities not sufficiently available on some days in the high season
Manageable campsite with great leisure facilities
We stayed as a family (2 adults, 2 children) with our caravan at this campsite for 2 weeks in July. We had pre-booked, which was definitely not the worst idea in July, as the Swedes are also on vacation in July and like to travel their own country. The proximity to the E40 is an advantage. You can also... tell by the fact that many campers come to the site for just one night. Our pitch was big enough for a caravan + awning + car. Electricity, water and waste water were in the immediate vicinity. The pitches are level and were never wet. The sanitary facilities-so-called family bathrooms-were used by men/women and children (no separation m/f) - that takes some getting used to. On some days, the campsite was so full that there was a queue at the family bathrooms and cleanliness suffered as a result. The operators have already created two new bathrooms and an additional kitchen has also been built, which offers the very latest in comfort. The campsite is located directly on the beautiful cycle path, which is ideal for leisure cyclists and roller skiers. There is also a bathing beach and barbecue area as well as a fishing jetty on the lake, boat and bike hire directly from the campsite and numerous hiking opportunities in the surrounding area. If you run out of ideas, the reception will always have a tip. The reception is German-speaking and always very helpful and friendly. We can therefore definitely recommend the campsite.

We had rented an apartment.
