too bad that the description is not correct, because otherwise the place was nice and big and clean and everything nice

The site is not on the lake and the 300m is not correct! We turned around after 650m steeply downhill, there was still no lake to see, at most with climbing equipment, the city is only accessible via the steep main road, a pity if you go there because of the lake and Bauduen and want to experience something without a car

less than 200m to the water, where you can't get there by car, but you have to "climb" a bit. Pitches 90% with shade.

only a few plots that are larger than 70-80 square meters.
Super place
Nice little place, operators are super nice, even sat with us from time to time, there was just German beer ;) Otherwise very nice and always help where they can. For WOWA over 8m total length it gets tight there, there are only 3 or 4 Stellpltäze where larger WOWAS fit on it, otherwise you should definitely... have the right pegs with you, I've bent a 10mm stainless steel peg. Sanis are NOT separated, which doesn't bother us, it's superfluous anyway, there are 6 showers. then about 10 washbasins in cabins, another 8 without and 6 toilets and 3 just for the men ;) Playground is also available next year we will go again

We've been coming to Les vieux chêne for 20 years, and this is the 3rd owner to manage it. What has changed: no surveillance, which allowed us to enjoy and suffer a camper in a truck with 2 dogs barking all day long Fear of passers-by going to the lake. We reported the situation and received a response....nous sommes au courant...no intervention from management. No daily hello from the staff, no survey if everything is going well. The new managers are Mobilhom renters and the campers are there to plug the holes. It's a shame to have abandoned the spirit and soul of this campsite.

To answer... your question about the deposit, we would like to point out that we carry out a pre-authorization on our premises. Nothing is taken from your bank account until the day of your departure. We then carry out an inventory of fixtures with you and cancel our pre-authorization. To avoid you having to wait on the day of your departure, we invite you to make an appointment for a check-out time.
All this information is given to you on arrival or in our welcome brochure.

We sincerely regret that... the site reserved for your tent did not meet your expectations and that you did not approach our reception team, who would have been delighted to find you a new location that met your expectations.
Please note that we are unable to influence the quality of the ground around Lac de St Croix. Mother Nature's choice.

Finally, your feedback concerning possible access for boats has been taken into account. At our campsite, we choose to preserve the tranquility of the site by keeping a natural area accessible on foot.
For a launch, you can go to Bauduen, less than 5 minutes by car from the campsite.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das war aber leider alles was uns an diesem Platz gefallen hat.

Die Sanitäranlagen sind total veraltet. Das Seeufer bietet nichts. Es lädt auch nicht gerade zum Verweilen ein. Ist wohl eher ein Hundeauslauf, statt eines Strandes. Mit einem eigenen Boot mag es ja noch OK sein. Ansonsten liegen noch mit Grünspan übersäte Kajaks, und mit Hundekotbeuteln gekrönt in der Prärie rum. Wir haben sofort entschieden am nächsten Morgen abzureisen.
Schrecklich. Trist und veraltet.

We really liked the proximity to nature, the silence at night, the beautiful, spacious location, the concerts during the last week of August...

We think that the mini-market could be improved with fresh products, we're far from everything.....y has the general food store in Bauduen and the mini-market in Ste-Croix but the prices are overrated. And maybe we should continue to offer a daily menu as we did at the end of August. It wouldn't be a good idea to go all the way to Aups (36 km) to do the shopping.

Unser Mobilehome war extrem alt. Viele kaputte Stellen in den Wänden oder Boden, die man richten könnte, oder aber das Mobilehome aussortieren und gegen ein neueres Austauschen. Neben der Duschkabine war alles voller Spinnenweben. Die Vorhänge haben nicht gepasst, sind entweder durchgehangen oder waren zu kurz, so dass Licht unter dem Vorhang reinkam. Preis/Leistung stimmt hier nicht.

Die Aussage 300 m mit direktem Zugang zum Strand ist missverständlich. Ich dachte man hat vom Camping aus direkten Zugang, so dass man mit dem SUP starten kann, aber das SUP oder Kajak durch den Wald zu tragen ist definitiv zu weit. Mein Fehler, dass ich diese Aussage vor dem buchen nicht weiter hinterfragt habe.

It is regrettable that the accommodation... showed several signs of wear, and that some amenities, such as the curtains, were not suitable. Your comments about the Jacuzzi have been taken into account. We would like to remind you once again that we change the water in each Jacuzzi between each visitor. This is an important job for our technical team, who are mobilized every morning to carry out this task.

We also have 3 access points to the lake, each with its own special features to suit everyone. You'll need to take the car if you want to enjoy the sandy beaches...
