Two well-maintained playgrounds for younger and older children. It's a short walk to the water and the area around the lake or through the woods is great for exploring by bike. We received a friendly welcome... and you can also buy fresh bread rolls in the small store as well as a few other little things you might need. The really clean, spacious sanitary facilities and the small camping store are particularly noteworthy, as is the friendly and courteous staff. We didn't find it a problem that there were ups and downs everywhere, that's just the way it is in the Sauerland.... What I did find a bit silly at one point was that I couldn't simply leave the site directly towards the lake (google maps showed a path), but I was standing in front of a locked gate. Without a lock. So not even a lock pick would have helped. And I didn't want to climb over it either, I'm getting too old for that sort of thing. The good thing is that there are no clever people passing through who can simply enter the site to steal caravans and motorhomes (but they would get stuck in Lüdenscheid). And the site is not cheap, but the prices are justified when you consider the work that goes into it. All in all, we will definitely come back when the A45 is passable again.
