Relaxed atmosphere The Shelter borders an extensive dune area on the edge of the resort of De Koog. The camping site is completely surrounded by trees. Directions De Shelter lies to the north of De Koog. The camping site is easily accessible by car and public transport. By car Travel to Den Helder via the A7 and/or N9. Directions to the ferry are clearly indicated. On … Texel, follow the signs towards De Koog. Once in town, keep right. Continue along Nikadel. Turn left after Super De Boer. Turn right at the junction with Boodtlaan. After a few hundred metres you'll see FC De Koog's football field with a road off to your left, which takes you to the central reception of De Shelter and Om de Noord where you can sign in.Routebeschrijving You can also plan your route via www.routenet.nl Enter De Shelter's address: Boodtlaan 43, 1796 BD, De Koog. By public transport Take the train to Den Helder. From the station take bus route 33 to the ferry. We would advise you to book a Texel Telekomtaxi at the counter in Den Helder. You can also take bus 28 on Texel. Validate your ticket in Den Helder ahead of your journey to De Koog. Alight at the Nikadel stop and follow the road to the junction with Boodtlaan, then turn right. After a few hundred metres turn left in the direction of the FC De Koog football field where you'll find the central reception for De Shelter and Om de Noord.
