Camping Si-Es-An in het Reestdal Camping Si-Es-An ligt in het natuurgebied het Reestdal. De camping ligt dan ook ideaal voor fietsers, wandelaars en ruiters. Vooraan de camping lopen verschillende fiets-, wandel- en ruiterroutes die je door het prachtige Reestdal leiden. …Landschap Overijssel en Drenthe hebben verschillende routes uitgezet, Markering is door middel van gekleurde plaatjes. Over deze routes is informatie aanwezig op de camping. Het dichste bij is het prachtige Oud-Avereest-Rabbinge. Het Reestdal Het dal waar de beek door stroomt, wordt het Reestdal genoemd. Ruim 700 hectare hiervan is in eigendom en beheer bij Landschap Overijssel. Onze zusterorganisatie Het Drentse Landschap heeft eveneens grote delen in beheer en eigendom. De lengte van dit stroomdal is ongeveer 35 kilometer en de breedte varieert tussen de 100 en 600 meter. Het landschap rondom de beek is een uitgesproken cultuurlandschap met bos, heide, hooilanden en oude boerderijen. Het Reestdal is grofweg in te delen in drie kerngebieden met elk een eigen gezicht. Rond IJhorst-De Wijk bevinden zich de landgoederen langs de Reest. In Oud-Avereest-Rabbinge staan veel karakteristieke boerderijen en bevinden zich esgehuchten met hooilanden, essen, hakhoutbos, heide en vennen. Het Staphorsterbos is een groot aaneengesloten bosgebied met heide en vennen. Hier is ook recreatieplas de Zwarte Dennen en een belevingspad
